So, looking through the little "about SF" section of the welcome post... I wrote something about the plans for a desert spacefleet spaceport location as an on-planet sub-HQ. Did anything happen with that? Do we still want that? Should we just call it done and say "Yea, BTW peeps, there's a SF HQ in a desert now?" Or should we abandon it all together and just stick with our Tabloid Town port?

I honestly have no idea on that front. Is it a tactical advantage? (or disadvantage?) Is it likely we'll be doing anything with it? Any particular reason for it to exist, in the desert or otherwise?

I think the idea was to give an accessible base of operations for the other guilds to interact with. The moon is a bit remote. Tabloid Spaceport is more of a military secured taxi service than an actual base.

Wait...Where IS "the desert" anyway?

There was much debate as to that previously... I forget if we ever came to a conclusion.

*pokes head in* The desert base is roughly a hundred miles northeast from Tabloid Town, eight miles north of a major-ish road leading through the desert. The desert itself is to the east of the continent, following a sort of woodlandsy region by the coast. There's a map =D...except the base is still marked with a ? on that map because I wasn't entirely sure where it actually is and just put it in there to have it in there somewhere. So if you can get it pinned down for sure and set it elsewhere, do let me know.

I don't really see any reason to move it, except that if we want to get people there quickly it might be difficult without getting aircraft involved. xD

Ahh, so it WAS implemented. Thank you for the update Hunty. It looks good where it is. It's closer to Tabloid Town than Mage Manor is, and we've traditionally moved between those surprisingly fast.

If Dunburrow has fertile farming grounds and Tabloid Town has a river flowing through it then a desert needs to be a fair long distance from them both, and even so I suspect that it'd have to be less of a desert and more of a half-prairie, half-barren-bushland sort of thing. Unless y'all want to agree that there was once a largescale magical explosion in the area that created a small localized desert where nothing ever grows. I mean, it's possible.

Eh, half prairie sounds fine. xD Also, I was going to use that idea in my NaNo. xD

RANKING UPDATES!
Omni's Ethan has now been promoted to Commando. Congratulations! And once again, long over due.
Also, cause I can. I've changed my class to Officer, and am therefore now an Admiral.
Bacon: Are you interested in upping your rank to Admiral as well?
Jason-Kun: I don't know if you've been participating in SF stuff or not. But it would seem as though you would be due for a promotion as well.
