Chris just blinks. "Leys just get going..."

Marcus shrugged, "I don't know. Just making sure..."

"Okay..." Chris keeps heading toward the road. Shoving the tree branches aside.

They get to the town. Its about sunset and a firey (sp?) orange glowis cast from over the mountains. "Whoot! We're finally here!"

"Yes. That was a... Long walk. Where is the inn?"

"There." He points to a small wooden building with a sign that said. "Pub and Inn." It was complimented by a couple of drunkards.

Laewyn, who had kept silent the entire trip, looked at the inn. "Well, it doesn't look like much, but it's better than being lost in the woods. Shall we?" and without waiting for an answer, she walked into the inn.

Marcus followed.
Walking to the person at the front desk, he asked about coffee.
"...What do you mean you only serve it in the mornings?"

I looked down at Shagai, waiting for him to change his appearance. His form wavered and he now looked like a young man in his mid-twenties with unruly brown hair, dull blue eyes and pale skin. I sighed. "Come on." I told him, walking into the inn.

Chris walks in after them looking cheerful. He grabs a bagel from a basket on the desk. "Could we get four rooms?"

"Five." I corrected, nodding to Shagai. I took another glance at him. He looked quite pale. I decided not to worry about it for now and took out a bag of coins, ready to pay for the two rooms.

The woman behind the desks nods. "It'll be 100 gold pieces for each room." Chris sighs and pays his share. "When is dinner served?"
"In one hour." She replied.

I took out 200 gold pieces from my bag of coins, closed it and put it away. I went up to my room, Shagai the room right beside mine.
I had just taken off my cloak when I heard someone hammering at the door. I opened it to find Shagai, in his human form, stumbling into the room to fall on the bed. He changed back into his original form. I raised an eyebrow. "Not tiring, huh?" I asked.

After paying his share, Marcus walked up to his room.
He pulled out a large crystal, transparent, but tinted orange and yellow.
Inside, small sparks of electricity were splashing around.
"I should leave you in here... But if someone attacks this village. . ."
With that, Marcus placed the crystal back into his small bag, and went downstairs.
