I think that's actually a moot point now, whether or not this RP follows GW or not. I think it's safe to assume, seeing how that ended, not much would hold eternal influence here. And what would, can either be worked with, worked around, or worked out (that is, ignored entirely).

When in doubt...time wrinkle! *shot* Um yeah. Anyways, I'll stop being a sci-fi nerd and go post. ^_^;

Just gone and killed Zari's profile. Changed appearance, personality, weapons. *flails*
Guild Wars killed my character. Not literally...yes, wait, literally.

*just posted* *tin cans jangling behind me*
Zari, if you do absolutely need two knights to accompany you, could the second be an NPC knight? (NPC knights do not have colored mantles.) I don't see why three people need to go meet your contacts, unless you have something planned...? If you do, then just go for it. If you don't, I just don't want to see anyone worked into someone else's shadow, and since you're controlling your contacts as well as yourself, I fear that might be something hard to avoid on this excursion to the city.

Zari, personally, only requires one, and in her mind if the other knights think two is necessary that's their choice. I have something minor in mind, but I may cut it out completely.

1) I've modified the thread title to include "RP." Since I've changed the Great Hall a bit, I think it's important to have the differentiation here. 2) I shifted the "invasion"/"visit" to coming from the land since the capital is landlocked, and the sea is distant, hence, we wouldn't (read: we don't) have a naval force. Even if they did come by boat/ship, they'd have to cross land to meet us. Then, well, the seas are Pirate territory. Us knights have the land. 3) I've been calling the capital Kestral City, but if anyone has anything more creative in mind, I'm open for suggestions—in fact, I downright want them. EDIT :: And as a reminder, the "invading" "army" (a.k.a., the general's caravan) will be community controlled. If they need to advance and/or respond to something, we need to provide that action. If there are multiple knights present when said interaction takes place, however, try to let someone else move for them if you're moving your own character. That will keep things from becoming too...monopolised. (Next, we'll be building hotels. Anyone up for a red one?) However, if you just have to have them act in a certain accord for something you might be planning, go for it. I'm thinking the "rules" for community controlled characters will be rather loose as long as no one drastically rewrites them, so simply letting everyone have the chance/opportunity to add their own side to the story will be good, I think.

Fuzz, are you referring to what Tirilia said in your latest post? Because otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

Forgive me if I don't post much. Since the caravan isn't supposed to be there until the next day, I don't have much to say. If someone wants to be a guard in the caravan, that might give me something to work with.

Forgive me if I don't post much. Since the caravan isn't supposed to be there until the next day, I don't have much to say. Yeah, about that, I'm hoping time will progress MUCH FASTER than it has in prior roleplays here, at least until the real action starts, at least... After all, neither of our last two RPs lasted even a whole day, and that's saying something, considering their size... The caravan can also arrive early. Yeah, that'd be an interesting twist. ;} Umm...I'm still allowed to jump in, right? Absolutely. ^_^ From behind closed lids she saw briefly, a Xenami face, one she’d seen but couldn’t attatch a name to- Tanned skin and Dark hair streaked heavily with grey. Not sure if you're intending this to be General Alec or not, but he's been described as fair-skinned with sandy-blond hair, so that's the description we need to keep him with. ;] In closing: Two relevant matters 1) No permission necessary In real life, one bound in servitude (such as a knight) would probably be met with severe punishments if they didn't wait to be excused, to speak, etc. But here, this is still fiction, and although realism is both admiral and awesome at once, the primary focus should be on continuing the story, not keeping to historical facts. For this reason, if you wish to go somewhere, do something, etc., do so. It’s awesome if you want your character to be respectful towards others, but we needn’t become dependent upon others to do just this. I mention this primarily because Zari made point to ask to be excused from the meeting. I didn’t mind this, but I just want everyone to know that even if my character is king, this roleplay belongs to all of us, not just me. I can’t be the rate-determining factor here. I’m doing my best to be as active as possible, but that doesn’t mean it’ll always be so. In this case, the matter had been discussed enough that I feel a simple “Wolf dismissed them” would have been acceptable. In other situations, such a simple godmode may not be as suitable, but to avoid stagnancy, they can probably be excused. I think a fair waiting period is three to five days, depending on the situation. Your thoughts? 2) Who owns whom? Reading through the recent RP posts, it struck me that it may not always be easy or even possible to discern who are and who are not NPCs and other community-controlled characters. Granted, most of us have some companion or such (such as Zaha or Fenrix’s falcon or Jonathan and my wolves) that are obviously self-controlled, but then there comes other characters that, though not listed as companions in the profile thread, are singularly controlled, such as Zari’s contacts, Kat’s assassin maid, and my Sir Ruodhan. To make such things easier, it may be worthwhile to mention, when we introduce a new character, if they are self-controlled or not. A simple note such as ((so-and-so is my character, please do not use)) or ((whatshisname is open for community control)) would be sufficient enough to allow others to know if they can control a character or not, I think. If the number of open characters grows sufficient enough, it may even be worthwhile to make a list someplace of characters open for community control. At this point, I think this roleplay only has General Alec and Casandra of the caravan’s named characters, and the presence if that plotline is pursued at the moment, so a list isn’t really needed, but if ever one is needed, it can be easily supplied. ...In fact, I'm just going to go ahead and make one up now. That's what my gut is telling me to do. I'll include names, allegiances where needed, and a brief description. It'll be found underneath the appropriate heading in the roleplay's opening post. EDIT I also updated the summary, for those who wish to follow it.

Haven't been on due to holiday schedule conflicts. Internet vs. Everything else. Even still, I'm tying my occasional posting into the plot by having Lyardel acting up. Might there be a reason for that? Maybe Lyardel's spider-sense horse-sense sixth sense is acting up... if he has a sixth sense.

My goal is to be back tomorrow later today to get caught up again. :)

Well, I'm here, and I'm a bit disappointed no one took control of Casandra to reveal her vision. I was hoping someone would have done that by now. -_- Well, there's always time for that later, I guess....
And if no one objects, it might be a good time to fast-forward till morning, or something...?
Or something. I have an idea.
