"Lady Kat, I have made a terrible mistake."
Kat blinked, walking toward her king slowly. "Why, Majesty?" King Wolf was a great ruler; she couldn't have chosen a much better one, and she looked up to him very much. But why did he look so worried? What was this mistake he spoke of? How bad could it be?
"What's wrong?" she asked, stopping directly in front of him, staring at him with deep concern. "Oh - "
"King Wolf I have an urgent message!!"
She turned around in time to see Midknight stumble in as well. Though he did sound urgent, it was bad form to just barge in on the king like that. But considering their situation, maybe it would be best to let it slide.
"What is it?" she asked, turning to the Kougra without even waiting for a response from Wolf. "Is it so important that you simply can't wait any longer?"

(( Okay thanks for the info ^_^)) " It may be, as it is a life and death situation for the king," Mdknight said to the knight, turning to King Wolf he stated, " I must tell you of a great threat to your life. I assume you have heard of or met a General Alec, well if so I must tell you he is not as peaceful and non threatening as he has tried to make himelf seem. He has hired an assassin, a former mercenary to be specific, to join your ranks, and kill you in order to help him destroy your kingdom."
He paused, looking at the stranger yelling at him, before adding. " I am that assassin, now I wish you no harm, as I have gotten my payment already, and had originally intended to join the Knights of Dunburrow anyways. I ask of your trust, and wish to join your ranks. And it seems I am not the only one who must speak to you." once again looking to the stranger.

Kat rounded on Midknight, obviously unconvinced.
"I am a Knight of Dunburrow, as you can probably tell. How do we know that you won't betray us, or harm the king?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. With one hand she touched the sword at her sash; with the other she felt for the wand on her other side. "These days, trust can be bought and sold in the blink of an eye..."

" I can understand you don't trust me, but if I was here to betray you, why would I warn you of Alec's plan? I came here, for I want to help, help this kingdom in times of need, I want to get away from my mercenary past and my brother, for now atleast. I wish to aid this kingdom by any means, I am a master of shadow magic, I have defeated death. I wish to help, please let me." Midknight explained looking at the knight.

"She went that way," uttered a low voice from afar, though rather fuzzy by SILE's ear. Still, it felt like it answered her call. Still a bit shaky from her vision, SILE stood up and took a bow towards the direction of the voice. "T-t-thank you, kind stranger! I am in debt of your gratitu-"
It was only after her sight had recovered that she was able to recognize who it was.
SILE resisted the urge to shout out the name of the person who answered her, as she knelt down to formally address King Wolf's presence, lowering her head in shame that she was not able to notice him quickly. The cat was only starting to speak out what little information she had gained from her vision when the man spoke out first.
"Lady Kat, I have made a terrible mistake."
SILE nodded her head in confusion. King Wolf's sudden phrase of sorrow struck her as if she had missed something important.
"King Wolf I have an urgent message!!"
SILE turned around to see a Kougra barging in on the scene. Looking at his face reminded SILE of a certain image on her vision, preparing himself before the king. She then listened to what he said, and noted that he was the assassin hired to kill the king and his rather awkward decision to join the Knights after all the information he gave out.
Seeing that Lady Kat had already started questioning him, SILE kept mum.

Kat sighed and nodded. "All right. The decision to trust you or not lies with King Wolf. I shall follow what his will may be." She looked at Wolf and said, "What do you say, your Highness?"
Dropping her voice, she added, "Let's talk later. Looks like we have to deal with him first." The Purple Knight reached out and, in a more informal and intimate gesture, gently squeezed the hands of her king reassuringly.

A glistening white spider crawled over the sands and into the confines of the caravan, to a central tent and then inside, to a curtained chamber within where a man in a brown shirt, thick trousers, and boots rested at a table, poring over a piece of parchment before him.
The spider shimered and took the form of a man. "Jared."
The sitting man was not startled, and didn't even turn. "Ruadhan."
"We made a deal when I came to Alec. They boy's harm was stated nowhere in our contract. And if I recall correctly, one of our provisions was that he remain safe and sound. Was it not?"
Jared sat up and rubbed his temples. "Casandra felt otherwise. Besides," here, he turned towards Ruadhan, his deep eyes heavy and tired, "she says the king will save him. And if not, he is too far gone already for the boy's future involvement to have any bearings."
"Perhaps," said Ruadhan. "But he is my son nonetheless."
Jared's eyes flared wide. "You said his parents were dead!"
"So I needed the king to believe. And now that you know, see to it that Casandra is certain the king will find him, lest I shall find him myself and our service here will be no more. I'm an amiable man, Jared, but if Casandra takes my faith in vain, then I can prove quite detrimental to her plans."
Jared tightened his jaw, then finally nodded. "I will tell her."
"Very well then," Ruadhan said. "Have a good day, sir."
He turned, and a glistening spider crawled from the tent a moment after.((I will write for Wolf later today; I've got to go at the moment. Sorry.))* * * ((Sorry it's taken me so long. I slept late today and forgot about this. -_-))Wolf turned at the sound of his name being called. And then he stopped, his eyes locked upon a round face he'd recognise anywhere, no matter what body held it. And her eyes. The last time he had laid his own eyes upon her grey-cloud ones they had been in the body of a wolf. And now she, like himself, lived in the body of a human.
The Enchantrix. She must have found the sorceress to find him. But whatever for, he almost did not want to know.
A soft hand gently sueezing his broke his stupor, and he turned to Kat with a wistful smile on his face. He nodded to her, then turned back to gaze at the other visitor who had just arrived, a Kougra with a sword at his side. Blinking once, he replayed the moment in his mind, recalling the conflicting words that the newcomer had stated. And every one of them had filled his stomach with unease.
"Kat," he whispered, "is there any chance you could cast a truth spell on this man?" And then, to the Kougra, he added, "If trust is what you seek, introduce yourself. Who are you, and why did Alec put his trust in you?"
* * * Makeo felt her heart flutter when she met eyes with the forest prince, the king of this land. She could not believe it--how did Erros step from not wishing to rule even a withering leaf to becoming king of his own kingdom? Were the lives of men so different, so noble, that he should find himself suitable to serve them as king, but not his own brethren by blood?
And then the woman took his hand, and he smiled. Despicable, to take solace in these beasts, who had hunted thier kind for centuries, shoving them to the edges of death, pushing them into the depths of the forest for thier own amusement.
Disgusting.
But she had made a promise to her queen, a vow to her king, and not now, not ever would she disgrace her people and betray their trust as Erros had. No, she would hold her tongue, deliver her message, and with all hope, guide her kindred back to the trees.
But for now, all she could do was wait, wait and watch as things unfolded.((That is, someone, anyone, may engage her as they feel fit.))

"Is there any chance you could cast a truth spell on this man?"
Kat bowed her head slightly. "Indeed I can." She unclipped one of her gold star earrings and held it flat on her right palm. As she started whispering the arcane words of the truth incantation, violet fire erupted gently from her hand, bathing the earring in flames. Then, they slowly burned away, leaving only a faint but steady purple glow. She handed the star to the Kougra.
"Hold this to your chest. If you try to lie, you will be engulfed by the enchanted fire I have locked within, and believe me, it's not a pleasant experience. Now, you will answer the king's questions. Oh, and I will want that earring back."

" Got it," Midknight said, doing as the mage asked. " Don't worry I won't take your earring, not really my thing, I like necklaces. My name is Midknight Raiesmort So King Wolf, ask away, I will tell you only the truth, I really don't want to burn and die."

SILE watched closely as Kat prepared her truth spell: enchanting one of her earrings with a magical aura that she claimed could burn someone who would dare speak a lie whilst holding it. While the cat had a less-threatening alternative to forcing the truth to come out, her temporary fatigue would not let her cast any spell at that moment, at least not without any difficulty. She sighed heavily upon the fact that her vision had caught her off-guard.
SILE however lifted her hands out and closed her eyes, uttering words from a language everyone around her could not understand. A faint light appeared in front of her and reformed slowly into the shape of a katana. Although the cat was successful in summoning her weapon, her condition began to worsen.
"I... must be alert... whilst you proceed... with the negotiations," she struggled to speak, trying to hide her heavy breathing. "Possibly he... has someone along," she raised her katana slightly and started looking around.

Wolf nodded as SILE limped up to them. "She's right," he said, turning to stare at Midknight once more. "Did you come alone? And from where, exactly, did you come?"
Wolf waited, listening for the cyborg to speak, but in truth he wanted to ask Kat if she could heal SILE, but he doubted the mage could work two demanding spells at once. And even if she could, he wouldn't want her to exert herself for this man, though for SILE, maybe it'd be better to he ask nonetheless....
Certainly, her confusion was leeching on to him, and flashes of pink light graced his sight as he swayed slightly to the side. The crown of Dunburrow was enchanted, he was certain. It tethered him to the Knights, always, whether he wanted it or not. Clearly, this was a time when he wished to be free of it, but to remove the crown before the eyes of a possible assassin was sheer stupidity. If not wearing his crown, he could be slain and the killer not tried for murdering the king. He was not crowned, he could argue, I did not know otherwise. Still, a trial for murder would end in his death.
And then the bearings of what Kat had said became fully clear to him and he couldn't keep silent this time. He leaned towards her and whispered, "He can't be killed, can he? He must first be tried—" by the judge.
But he had exiled Kit. There was no judge.

(Just to point out, Midknight isn't a cyborg, if you need any more info on him just ask.)
" I came with only my fox Shado. I came originally from a small village, but it was burned down by an assassin. I have recently been staying with a group of mercenaries, that is until I left for here and was stopped by General Alec." Midknight stated patting Shado's head.

There wasn't a single flare from the earring; it continued to glow faintly. Kat kept silent, watching it closely. She glanced at SILE; the cat needed some healing, but not while the truth spell was going. "Don't exert yourself. I could work a bit of magic, but only when the king is done interrogating our guest...I cannot break my spell..."
When she heard Wolf's whisper, she could only nod. "I see...is there any way you could possibly take back the sentence, even temporarily?"

((Sorry, Cyborg. I'd though both the brothers were slightly robotic. >.<))
Wolf watched as the earring allowed Midknight to speak, not the slightest touch of flame spewing from the purple glow that surrounded it.
Then he heard Kat and nodded. It was the only way: He had to revoke his decree on Kit. But court law stated that exiles could not be undone, unless voted upon unanimously by the council at the urging of the arbiter. The only chance there was for Kit's return was if he chose to challenge the decree himself and bid the council to vote upon his exiling, but he had already given himself to the caravan and was probably being taken in chains at this very instant.
"It's too late," Wolf whispered.
Unless... He grinned and turned towards the assassin.
"If truly you're honest and wish to join us, take heed and listen well: Travel to the caravan stationed outside the city and retrieve the prisoner they have taken from our midst." He continued with a brief description of Kit, hoping the legislation that stated exiled citizens could be retained if they could jeopardised the kingdom's safety would work in their favor now. "And..." he hesitated, "kill no one."
Wolf took a breath and glanced at the Knights to his left before turning back upon Midknight. "Do you accept?"

" I accept, but my fox must stay here, it will be a quicker escape with the prisoner if he does." Midknight stated looking at Shado before turning into his shadow form and racing off towards the caravan's direction.
