A castle rises before you: two knights stand upoon either side of the oaken doors and share a glance before looking your way and allowing you inside. The castle beckons you, its torchlit corridors leading you toward the throne room. The doors are opened: You enter.

A golden carpet stretches out before you and you follow it to the seat of a brown-haired man with a crown upon his head. His throne is intricate and regal, its back rising up and spreading out like the wings of a massive kestrel, the symbol of his kingdom.

You bow before him, staring at his weathered face before you lower your head as well. The king raises his sword and brings it down upon you, touching your shoulder as he completes the accolade and presents your mantle. "Welcome," he says, "Welcome to Dunburrow."

Welcome to the Knights' Guild, where all things sword and sorcery reign. A realm of high fantasy and clashing swords, the Knights Guild is everything you could ever want it to be--we've got great and friendly members, a good roleplay, and more to come. So come on in and join us--unleash the inner Knight in you!

Becoming a Knight

Becoming a Knight is quite different than becoming a Dae, so listen up:

All Knights must be able to...
- Follow the rules of chivalry that guide noble knights
- Take up arms and fight to defend their country, and
- Ride a horse into battle, literally or figuratively or not at all.

But essentially, if you want to join and be a Knight, join and be a Knight! Just post here, tell us your name, a few things about us, and the color you want to be.

Wait, wait, wait. Color? Of course! Every Knight bears the mantle of a color unique to him- or herself, bearable by no one other than him- or herself. Then, as soon as feasibly possible, the King (or Steward, if he should happen to be available) shall Knight you, formally presenting you with your mantle and honouring you with an OFFICIAL Knights' Guild Title (cash value $0.01. Not actually redeemable for cash).

New members can participate in guild activities prior to their knighting if they've already signed up, and all members can have as many extra titles as they'd like to have if they so wish to have them all.

As formal introduction, I shall announce myself as Lord Wolf the Green Knight, Lord of the Wolves and Twin Dragon of White Knight Shino. I wield the Dragon's Claw, a powerful remnant of a dear companion whose soul hath now passed on. I am worthy also of wielding the sword and brandishing the bow, and my aim hath never failed me before. I am wise in many ways and I am one with nature. I am a speaker to beasts and a peacemaker among men.

Well, it would seem that this is the first Knighting Ceremony of the "new" guild. ~_^

Fortune, newest Knight of Dunburrow, bow before me and I shall, as King of Dunburrow, proclaim you the Rust Knight, whose earthen countenance hardens his judgment but not his heart. I deem thee the Preying One, whose heightened skills observance and luck in battle grants him the power to find whatever it is that he seeks.

You may rise now and join the Knights.

On this new day, I shall turn to these knights and give to them what they must be given:

I dub thee, Dame Ikkin, the Enlightened Wind, for thy aura shines of brightest indigo, soothing light of the spirit, and thou adventures across the lands as a wind adventures across the skies.

Leo, Cerulean Knight, I bestow upon thee the title of Courageous Sky, for thou art courageous in the ways of men and bears the reflection of the heavens' blue vastness upon thy soul.

The Bronze Phoenix, Lady Shade, I anoint thee with the new title of the Phoenix of Darkness, for not all darkness is bred of evil, but of light, and thou art a shadow of darkness born of the light, bearer of a high heart and possessor of noble intentions.

Knights with "reissued" titles may keep their first as well, though only the new one will be displayed in here.

It's also worth saying that I have added the "weapon of choice" bit to the introduction "form"; one wouldn't wouldn't believe how much it tells of a person until it's needed (I can see now why Shinobi had it there from the beginning ^_^). Although those who have posted their introductions already need not add it, I thought it would be fitting to at least announce its return. :)

... Actually, do you think it would be possible to "expand" my current title, One of the Last? I like the mystery of it, but I really don't have much of an idea how I can use it yet. ^_^;

Greetings, fellow knights. You may refer to me as Kat, although my full name reads Kalianne Triss Lunara. I'm a knight-mage who took up the art of knighthood to expand my horizons, and even though I am getting better at swordplay, I know my melee weapon knowhow still needs some work. I try not to use magic as a crutch.

Lady Tamia, who hath come to the order of the Knights but a small time before the Kingdom was reborn and the new age of Dunburrow was begun, thou hast been titled One of the Last. Henceforth, thou shalt be known as One of the Last to Rise, for thy heart soared to Knighthood when the kingdom was flailing and thy presence helped keep it alive.

Lady Kalianne, who hath been called the Banner of the Knights for thy honorable deed of carrying the KONTWF's flag into Dunburrow and lending thy hands to this Kingdom's revival. Henceforth, thou shalt be known as the Violet Star, for thy violet flames burn as brightly as the sun and thy light is a beacon in the darkness.

Lady Zari, thou hast been called the Blood Knight for Crimson is the color of blood and blood is the water of life, the elixir of our veins which sustains us, and upon our journey into Dunburrow, it was thee who represented the blood of our veins, the new spark of life for our kingdom. Dost thou truly wish for a new title?

As I might have made reference to this in the above...so, let me add this bit of "history" to the guild.

The Knights of the the NTWF were chosen to head the new age of Dunburrow, when a new King would rule and the forgotten kingdom would be revived as a thing of great beauty as it had once been. Upon the KONTWF's completion, the order moved into Dunburrow, where the Knights began the Kingdom's new age and the land began to live and prosper once more.

Nifty history, eh? Yeah, I thought so. :) It ties the club to the guild perfectly, I think. ^_^

Also, Kat, if you would like to change your color to Violet, to match your title, you may, otherwise you may remain the Purple Knight.
