Cat Assassin was caught by surprise when he looked to see a jaguar with its jaw fixed on Jakie's right arm. Instinctively, the orange catboy kicked the jaguar and started to accumulate energy on his right hand. His usually calm attitude had been turned to the wild side as his red eyes widened more, now similar to the eyes of an angered feline.

Zaha yelled 'Think, CA!' and used Wild magic to set up a shimmering red wall between CA and Jakie. 'It'll instinctively bite harder. I'll have to tranquilize it or otherwise persuade it to let go. Intincts aren't always correct. Did you ever go to school? You should know that when kicked a cat bites down.' Zaha stepped through the wall and fixed the jaguar with an unblinking stare. The basics of mind control were that you needed to be both persuasive and focused. Zaha layered her voice with honey, as Xora had taught her, and said 'Open your mouth.' She imagined that the jaguar was the infant felix that had refused its food, leaving Xora and Liiah distraught and confused. 'It would be so easy to just open your mouth.' Zaha purred, her voice soft and persuasive.

Stopped by a magical wall that separated Cat Assassin from Jakie and the others, the orange catboy clawed his way, hoping he'd find some kind of hole on the wall. Gradually, his mind started to clear out as his swipes went slower and slower by the second. Finally, he could see the world again, as he calmed himself back to his former attitude.
"... Sorry, Zaha", Cat Assassin apologized. "... Sometimes, my instincts get the best of me."
Seeing that the wall was still in place, Cat Assassin sat down the muddy ground with his hand on his head, trying to remain cool. Probably his nausea from before partially had the fault for turning him to his wild side, but he would not continue the blame. It was not necessary, anyway.

Jakie slumped back against the tree. Gingerly she raised her free arm and wrapped her fingers loosely around the jaguar's neck. Don't give me a reason. The cat snarled as it was kicked, but didn't dare to move any further for fear of being strangled. Jakie hissed, though her voice still had the same sweet tones when she spoke.
"Don't touch it." There was an aura around her and the cat, a dark one that twisted and squirmed in the air. "Whatever happens to it happens to me as well." She tightened her grip and the cat gagged for air. Jakie choked as if an invisible hand had wrapped around her neck.
Open your mouth. The cat screeched and jerked upward as if it had been electrocuted. The same effect seemed to be on Jakie, who released the cat and fell forward. She spat on the ground and looked up at the other ninja. "It's always hungry. That's why I hide every night." She swallowed and watched the cat claw itself. "It can't kill me, or it dies too. I can make it hurt itself. That distracts it from killing people. But.." She rubbed her arms. Cuts had begun to appear on her, wherever the jaguar had bit or scratched itself. "..We share our injuries, you see."

Zaha dug in one of the many pouches disguised on her person and pulled out a tube of antiseptic and a tin of power. 'Do you want something for those?' she said calmly, watching the Jaguar. Addressing both Jakie and CA, she whispered 'We've disturbed some of the Pixie dragons. They're not friendly. We;d better go.'

"..Sure." Jakie said quietly, keeping her eyes on the thrashing cat. She frowned. "You two go back to camp. I'll be back in the morning." The jaguar growled and sat up, glaring at Zaha and CA. "If you stay in his sight it makes it that much harder for me to supress him, you know." There was a tone of amusement in her voice, but also annoyance.

'It's against preistess code to leave a friend or comrade,' Zaha said absently, loosening her joints. 'Some dragons are poisonous.' Without warning, the catgirl disppeared. 'Outta sight muchly?' Came an amused voice a metre to the left of where Zaha had been. 'Being invisible feels weird. It's not that I'm not here, I'm just...not noticed. Oh, look. There they are.' A group of minute ((sp?)) dragons had appeared on one of the tree's, chittering angrily. Some were armed with small, poison-tipped spears, while others had bows. 'We need to scarper. NOW. Immediato.'

Jakie clenched her fists in her lap. "I don't think you understand. I can't go." She bit her lip and watched the big cat struggle to his feet, snarling at the tiny dragons that lined the trees. "You can't be here, or else I have to hold him back. It hurts to do that, Zaha-chan." Her eyes were pleading. She looked away after a moment, up at the trees, her expression bemused as she watched a few of the dragons scurry down. "I can take them."

Cat Assassin, noticing the agonizing look on Jakie's face, lightly tapped on the wall that separated him from the others, trying to hint Zaha to leave the girl alone. They had already disturbed the dragons that the white (?) cat saw, let alone Jakie and her life-bonded 'friend'.

Zaha nodded and allowed the wall to go down, instead channeling her magic into making the bows and spears snap. 'Be careful, Jakie-chan. I've deprived them of their weapons. CA, we need to go. We are making this difficult for her.' Zaha spoke carefully, trying to make the maroon haze go down. It did, leaveing Zaha to break all the rules she had set as a child and turn her back on a friend.

Cat Assassin nodded in agreement without mouthing a word. It was obvious to him that Zaha was just trying to help Jakie, but they both knew better if that matter would be handled by the girl alone.
"... We may not be able to help you with your problem Jakie, but that doesn't mean we won't try", Cat Assassin warned Jakie as if troubled by a thought from afar. "... We all are quite worried about you of not interacting with us too much", he added before taking the initiative of distancing himself from the lass.
Of course, Cat Assassin never walked away. He had promised to be the look-out for tonight. Whether Jakie liked it or not, the orange cat would still wander around, constantly guarding their campsite.

Zaha went behind a tree and quietly upchucked her dinner. Xora and her husband Risoan had taught her loyalty, dependability, and responsebility. It had taken all the self-discipline she had to quietly turn her back and walk away. 'Breaking promises gives me a headache.' The black-and-white cat groaned, curling up, back in her full-cat form.

((...And poor PFA and SRGNG missed out on this whole thing. Well, they'll probably find out about all that during the overnight walk Zaha mentioned.)) "Well, time to get to sleep!" SRGNG stretched and yawned. "Mm-hm," PFA replied, chowing down the last of her dinner. "The boys' tent is the one on the left, remember." "Uh, right..." SRGNG blushed, backing away from the girls' tent. He crawled into the boys' tent where he started setting up a sleeping bag. PFA sighed, looking up at the sky. She just watched the stars for a moment before going into the girls' tent to sleep.

Jakie watched the others go silently, but her feline friend wasn't so calm. He growled at them and tried to follow, but Jakie kept him pinned to the ground with her gaze. She let up once she knew they were far enough away that the jaguar wouldn't bother. The two of them turned their attention instead to the little colony of dragons. Enraged at having their weapons broken, they were fully prepared to take their anger out on the catgirl. The jaguar dived in front of her and began to terrorize the little creatures. At first they fought back viciously but once the big cat had killed enough of them the group seemed to have second thoughts. The survivors raced back into the trees as the huge cat partook in his newly caught dinner. Jakie's mouth watered as she contemplating stealing some, but then remembered Zaha saying something about pixie dragons being poisonous. No thank you. She curled up against the tree, ignoring her growling stomach.

(Time for a filler post!)
Cat Assassin wandered around, still troubled for having to leave Jakie alone to take care of the pixie dragons. His mindless walking had taken him deeper into the woods and farther from the campsite. His stomach still empty thanks to his nausea, Cat Assassin looked around, constantly searching for food.
Even with his dark-vision sight, Cat Assassin could not find even a trace of fruits on the trees that surround him. Not only that, no animals edible enough could be seen. the cat sighed at the sight. He had no choice but to do more than scouting.
Focusing his energy on his hands and feet, Cat Assassin began to cut down the trees that hindered him from having a clear view. Still mindful about not pushing down many of them, the cat carefully picked out only the trees that obstruct him from finding food. Finally, he had seen a couple of bushes containing some red berries. After observing that the berries were safe to eat, Cat Assassin munched on, keeping half for himself and the others. The berries were not as good to eat, but the cat had no choice if he wants to satisfy his hunger, even for just awhile.
