Listen up, mateys, for I've a proposition to make for yer. Ye see, whilst them thar ninja are off in their fancy-smancy dojo training their silly ninjutsu skills, we're just standing around the ol' White Weewoo like a bunch o' sittin' ducks. Even if we do pwn them ninja in e'ery way, if they have more trainin' than us, they'll have an advantage.
So, my proposition is this. Each one of you scurvy dogs who wishes to train themselves to fight our mutual foe just needs to sign this list that I have right here in my hand. Now now, though, don't come grabbin' the parchment yet, listen ter what it's about, first. Signin' mysterious papers is never very safe... fer all yeh know, yeh could be volunteerin' to scrub out the bilges.
Just what's on this here paper then? It's a sign-up sheet. ^_^ But don't go runnin' yet, it's not for cleanin' the bilges or anything of the sort. It's fer signin up for the new pirate trainin' that we're holding. Yeh see, all o' us could use some practice in the fine art of duelin'... and it might liven this place up some more.
Sign the sheet here when I'm done talkin', and I'll assign yer to one o' yer crewmates to duel. O' course, we're not playin' fer keeps- all weapons will be necessarily dulled fer yer protection. It's never a good idea to kill each other durin' training, I'd say.
But, be warned- if yer sign the sheet, yeh'll be expected ter duel. Yeh'll get to agree with yer partner about the time, o' course, but yer can't back out. There's no punishment for not signin', of course, except for the talk of yer fellow crewmates. And who wants to be known as the only one who chickened out?
I'll put the sheet right here in front of yer, and get out of the way quickly so yer can sign. I'm sure yer wannna...
*places sheet on table, then flies up to the rigging to watch*
The sheet reads:
Keng
Pam
Komori
Ikkin
Rider
Frozen
Huntress
Echo
Servitore
Dragon
EDIT: Signups will continue until the 20th of September, so I know that everyone had enough time to make their decision to join or not, and I can randomly select pairs. If anyone joins after that, they better hope that there's either an odd number of people without them, or someone else joins late.
I'll figure out what to do about odd-numbers in more detail later.
