Arietta still stared at the ground. "Oh whatever, might as well say it..." she said. "When I was about 6, a friend of mine found an old grimoire and showed it to me. She tried to read the stuff in it but ended up messing up and I had to suffer for it. Now, there's these...people...that take over me when I'm not paying attention...I think there's about 4 of them in all or something..." she sighed.
"The worst thing is, while they're in power, I don't see anything they do, hear, think or anything else..." she murmured after a while.

"I think we should head back to town. It's getting a bit late. The moon is already rising." Shayd said., "Lhrin? LHRIN!" He called. "WHERE ARE YOU!"
"Ever here..." Lhrin said. Sayd looked towards the voice and spotted her silhouette (sp?)
"Is that you?" He asked, pointing at her. Before Lhrin had a chance to answer a golden thread of light shot out from his fingertip. It showed Lhrin's face, shocked.
The world swam around Lhrin. She felt dizzy and wanted to lie down. Only she couldn't move. She opened a bleary eye and found herself looking down at her feet potruding from a golden light binding her seamlessly.

Arietta looked up. Well, guess I'm not the only one who's wierd after all... she bit her lip. One of "them" wanted to take over again. Headache, headache, headache, headache, headache, headache... she repeated hurriedly to herself, but no pain would come. Her eye color changed from blue to green.
"Ooh, pretty light!" she exclaimed brightly.

"Pretty light my foot!" Lhrin said. "It's a monster!" She glared at Shayd. "Get...me...down!" She hissed darkly.
"I-I don't know how. I don't even know how I did that." Shayd admitted.
"Bust the ropes. I just want down!" Lhrin screeched.
"Okay okay." Shayd said, grabbing a sturdy stick and rushing forward. He tapped the rope a couple of times. It mnade a soft cracking sound every time he did it. "Hmm." He muttered, twirling the stick between his fingers. "Very sturdy. This might bot cut it, literally."
"Enough stupid humor." Lhrin said. "GET MNE DOWN!!!" Shayd raised the stick and brought it down with tremendous foirce. It ended up breaking the stick, the top half caught Lhrin between the eyes. She kicked at Shayd and nailed him in the gut.
"JERK!" She cried. "This one was YOUR FAULT!"

Arietta stared for a second, then giggled. "Silly! That's not a monster, it's a pretty light!" she exclaimed, then giggled again.
Ari opened her mouth to say something again, but before she could, another one took over, her eyes changing to purple.
"Oh, I'm sorry..." she murmured. "I'm bothering you, right? Sorry..." she looked away.

"No. Really. You aren't bothering us." Shayd reassured. His voice was breathy due to the fact he was still recovering from the kick.
"Umm, I'm still not out of these ropes." Lhrin said.
Shayd ignored her. "Like I said, we should head back to town." He said.
"WHAT ABOUT ME?" Lhrin yelled angrily.

"I..." Ari started. "I think your friend wants you to get her out of this..." she paused. "unless you're in a fight with her of something and--oh, I shouldn't have started talking..."

"It's okay. It's okay." Shayd said. "You're aloud to talk. The issue isn't a fight. It's the fact that I CAN'T get her down." He explained.
"WHAT?!?!" Lhrin screeched. "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO GET ME DOWN?" Shayd sadly nodded his head.

Ari sighed, looking down. She coughed and her eyes started changing colors again. This time, they became red.
She laughed. "Pathetic. Just pathetic. You can't even control your own power?"

"Tell it like it is!" Lhrin said.
Shayd blushed a deeper scarlet than Ari's eyes.

"Perhaps a good ol' sword can break it..." Arietta said. She held out her hand, a sphere of red light appeared above it. It faded away and in it's place was floating a sword. Ari took it and tried to break the thread, but the sowrd just bounced off.
"Or maybe not. Stupid sword..."

Shiikara watched, a tad confused. "You seem to have some powers you can't control..." she muttered softly, and wondered what to do.

"You say I do stupid things?" Lhrin said to Shayd. "You get magic you can't control."
"This is STUPID!" Shayd growled. He went to the back of the tree and his jaw dropped,. He saw that all of the bindngs thinned to two cords that were knoted together. "I don't...believe it." He said. Untying the rope, Lhrin dropped to the ground.
"Well, it was simple enough..." She said.

Ari picked up the sword and threw it in the air. When it was high enough, it dissapeared. She sighed and rubbed her knuckles.
Her eyes started changing colors again, this time to black. She sighed, leaned against a tree and stared at the ground.

"Are you okay?" Lhrin asked, propping herself up on her knees.
Shayd was still muttering about how much of a hassle it was to try and find out how to do this when all he had had to do was unte it. "This is stupid..." He muttered, grabbing the rope and chucking it into the forest very far.
