Somewhere along the border of Meridell and Brightvale lies an old
manor house that simply glows with magic. It is here where the
mages of both Neopia and the NTWF come to practice their skills,
study new forms of magic, and simply have a good time. Larger on
the inside than it looks, its inhabitants and visitors find that they
have everything they could ever need or want at their fingertips,
because even if what they want doesn't exist, the building itself
changes at the whims of its inhabitants.
Mage Manor is filled with secret passageways, ancient tomes,
secrets of old, and the people and creatures who feel most at home
in such places. Not all of its inhabitants are friendly, but the most
dangerous magical creatures are rarely seen... though, that may
just be because they tend to keep to the shadows and stay away
from large groups. Some of the more adventurous types have
mentioned meeting up with everything from centaurs to chimaeras
on their exploits, so the possibility does exist...
Of course, there's plenty to do without risking one's one life... The
place is magic, after all. There's plenty to study, learn, and practice
here, and the possibility to become acquainted with new and
different forms of magic. That's not to say everyone has to be
studious- we're pretty relaxed around here. There aren't any
teachers to keep us from doing what we want, after all.
On the other hand, there are some rules. For one, while a bit of
godmoding isn't a problem, I'd rather people didn't godmode
anyone dead. That would mean Sev would have to come out to
bring the other person back, and he's generally not too thrilled
about that... which tends to end up in flames.
Of
course, the leniency on godmoding means that you have to accept
the fact that other people might godmode you... but, we can all deal
with that, right?
Threads here should probably be best kept PG, or low PG-13 at
most. The walls have eyes, after all.
If anyone wants to suggest a better name, I'd be glad to hear it.
I'm awful at coming up with them. Elected positions, a la the
pirates, could be a possibility in the future, if people want them.
Mage badges might be nice... if someone wants to volunteer, it
would be nice- I'd do it myself, but my pixel art skills are sorely
lacking.
