I'm representing a myth in the Aztec mythology because I wanted something close to my roots. ^_^
Iztaccíhuatl, la mujer dormida, which means the sleeping woman, is a mountain/volcano here in Mexico, and the myth behind it is a love story. =D

I've decided to go with an character from Slavic mythology and one which I remember from stories that I read. Baba Yaga, a witch-like character who is said to eat small children but in some stories she helps the protagonist by offering advice and wisdom.
Quite evil but also awesome in her own old-womany way. ^^

Whee, Pleione, mother of the Pleiades. I chose it because it's vaguely related to Purple.. although not all of my themes will be. Definitely considered Athena, but I've already dressed as her in real life. XD

I decided to represent Cassandra, an unheard voice of truth in Greek mythology. There are many interpretations of Cassandra; censorship, feminism, etc. I also like to think of her as related to the climate change struggle. So much evidence pulling toward potential catastrophe, and still very few people are listening.
Anyway, enough of that controversial stuff. =P
