Yes, that's right -- Spirit Weeks have made their triumphant comeback. ^_^ Go ahead and let out a "Huzzah!" -- I'll wait.
Okay, got that out of your system? Well, get it back! This is Spirit Weeks, after all, you need as much excitement as you can get.
The event works like so: together we suggest and then vote on some themes, and then it's up to you to come up with creative costumes for each theme over the course of three weeks. For those who weren't around for the first one (or just have really terrible memories XD), you can find it here.
This go-round will be mostly the same as the original flavor, with a few minor tweaks to make it a tad more enjoyable for all -- firstly, this time the event will last a bit longer, for a grand total of 20 days.
In addition, I'm going to ask that you refrain from changing to a new theme before it officially begins, as this was a complaint from last time. Some people jumped the gun, others didn't, and thus mass confusion paralyzed us all (it was a miracle we ever made it out alive). To make it easier to follow let's stick to NST (aka Pacific time) to signal when one theme ends and the next begins. Please do your best to stick to this time-table, though I won't bite your head off if you feel you absolutely must. (I don't really like the taste of heads. D: )
And finally, when suggesting themes let's be original! That means that the five themes we used last time are off-limits. To refresh your memory as to what they were, check the link above.
So, enough of my rambling. As of...*looks at watch* now the suggestion phase is open. The themes can vary, from Sports to Superheroes and anything in between. So throw out your most creative ideas for themes. Just keep in mind that these themes should be general enough to allow for a lot of variety in costumes but still have a common theme running through it.
Once we've got a good variety of themes, we can vote for our top five and get started on our Spirit Weeks. =D So don't be afraid to think outside of the box and come up with some truly fun themes. Anything is fair game!
