Challo's eyes turned light again. "N-N-Nokua?" Challo left Clay in his grasp, and flew down to Nokua and Eny. "Forget him," The Shadow Lord said. He pulled Clay into his grasp, and held the Shadow Sword to his neck. "YOU," he said as he looked at Jade again, "Tell me where the on with the staff is of your so-called 'friend' you claimed to be in your thoughts will be a forever slave of Haroo." "Don't do it," said Clay, "I can handle him!" ((Sorry for putting you in this situation, Misslynx, but I thought it's time I put a "Do it or-else" situation in this comic. Spices it up a little. I won't be on the computer for the rest of the day, and tomorrow, school starts, so bye, everyone!)) ((Naw, it's alright. First day of school starts in an hour for me. Good thing school is 5 minutes away.)) "Why should I?" she asked. "It was an error to tell you I knew a wielder of a staff in the first place, so I'm not going to tell you anything else! Besides, no one can penetrate my body now. I am protected by Jehn-Rahg now, and my shield is reinforced by the sword of pearl!" she added confidently. She swung her sword around expertly, and it sent a blast of blue light right at the Shadow Lord. He went flying into the air. Jade sent another blast. He let out a yell of pain, and Jade's anger grew bigger. She sent in a series of blasts, one after another. "S-stoooop!" was all the Shadow Lord managed to say before vanishing in thin air. Jade put down her sword, and fell to her knees. She helped herself back up with the sword of pearl, and sighed. |

School was pretty good. All we did today was fill in about-me sheets, and do free time.)) Clay fell to the ground as the Shadow Lord vanished. Jade ran to his side. "Are you alright?" she asked. |

((first day of school today...adn I'm back!))
Brandon hid in the woods. The pain was too great.
He saw the whole spectacle, but what bewildered him was the swords and these "gods".
He had heard all the designs on the gem king's swords were able to become their own weapon - bt theses "gods" he knew nothing of.
However...
The Gem King did have many names, especially when he used on power on the sword and changed his form.
Brandon crawled out of the woods, gasping.
He walked over to Jan's pod, clenched his teeth, and shot out light, sending a gaping entranceway to the pod.
He then shot light at the pod, and grinned ans it cracked.
Then he sank into blissful uncosciosness.

Name: Kae (pronounced Ky-Kai or something like that)
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Element: Life (and I suppose that means Death too)
Gem: Blue
Appearance: Blonde bangs, black hair with two blonde streaks. She is of average height... One eye is gold and the other is black.
Personality: A quiet person.... she doesn't talk that often. Kae prefers to watch from a distance or fight.
IC:
From the branches of a nearby tree, a dark figure watched the scene. She smiled. These were formidable fighters, for sure. She wouldn't want to be against them.
Hopping down from her branch, she crouched in the dark shadow.
"Let an enemy come. Defeat of one side is near."

"Yeah, I'm alright, but that freaks sword came awfully--" As Clay turned around, Whitney gasped. She touched it, then hissed of the heat. It was grey, with red around the rims. "What is it?" "Y-y-your gem..." "Funny, I don't feel any different. You better not be fooling around, Whitney. Jan got up. "W-w-what happened..." Mai hugged Jan. "You've been gone for a while, Jan," said Clay. "You're back!" "H-huh? What's wrong with your gem, Clay?" Clay blushed, and put his hands over his head. "So she wasn't kidding... I'm sure I marked it fighting. It's fine." Clay took his hands off. Some grey turned to red. "I'm feeling a little dizzy," said Jan, "I better sit down." |

The happy reunion almost made Kae sick. They never lasted, in her experience. That's what made it a sad thing. Unfortunately, no one seemed to realize that.
"Until the war is over... No reunion stays forever."
Her voice cut through the silence of the rest of the forest.

She didn't say a word, nor did she move. She felt empty, lifeless. She just stood there, looking at the others as if she were just looking at a simple painting or photography. |

Nokua embraced Obrai (Challo) as he nodded in response to her question. Eny sat up in the tree, gagging at the two of them.
"But... How did you survive, Obrai?" Nokua asked.
"I'm not really sure... I had fainted from inhaling too much smoke, and when I woke up, I was in some kind of cave. Someone named the Shadow Lord had saved me somehow. I'm not quite sure how he did it; he's never told me.
"He raised me for the remaining years, and told me all about his rival with...with the Gem King. And when he found that I was destined for the electric element, he became happy, saying something about overthrowing someone named Jan..." Obrai shrugged. While he had been talking, the gem in his forehead had slowly been changing from black to grey.
Eny turned her attention from her older sister and... Obrai. "Miss! Hey, miss! Wouldja get me down from here, miss?" She asked the girl she had previously been afraid of... The girl that had probably saved her from those shadow-things.

A sound made Kae blink. A boy, lying in the dirt. He would likely be dead soon. If... something seemed almost wrong, though. As if he couldn't die without her action.
((Kae doesn't know about her powers))
She walked over to him and, with her foot, turned him onto his back. She looked over at the other people, making sure she was still unnoticed.
