I looked up from my puddle of blood-which was slowly sinking into the ground-at a fairy.
"It's already gone," I told her. "Thank you for the offer, though." I glared at the knight beside her as I leaned back a bit, putting my weight on my toes, and rose-again, without using my arms. I appeared small and week, but living with dragons, then living alone in the wilderness, had honed my reflexes and muscles to perfection. Of course, I could still get hurt. Everything could.

Breathing heavily, Rina stood up from the ground. She pressed herself against the wall of the building and slowly looked out into the streets. More people, now. Who were they? Were they part of this destruction?
She placed one hand on the side of the wall, hoping not to be seen. Crouching, she took one step out into the light. If she was noticed, then her career as a theif was over for sure.
Another step. She looked down and held back a gasp as she noticed the dead body beneath.
A third step brought her whole body in the light. Still flat against the wall, she stood up straight and stayed still.

"Oh, it's nothing." she answered the demon, looking at the puddle of blood on the ground. She suddenly felt all shaky. She had been shivering since she got there, but it was even worse now. Oh, darn! First the migrains and now this? What next, a fever? she thought, trying to hide the fact that she felt sick.

Brandon suddenly lost all fearlessness towards the demon.
Here he was, in a shruken puddle of blood, perfectly healed!
This was bad. VERY bad.
He looked at the theif.
"Who are you?" he half-demanded, keeping his hands on the hilt of the sword and half-unsheathing it.

I don't remember the name of my character!!!!! Ummmm....Ahhhh....Gwen, Lynke, Yornn, Morren...Maia! Okay. IC: The sworded one was looking down at Maia. Thankfully, an odd fairy and a demon came up behind him, and he looked away. (OOC: Thieves are good as invisible while Hiding in Shadows...don't remember if I added that to my desciription yet... but still.) Maia crept silently away, again. She was beginning to doubt the boy's experience; although he had a sword, he looked her age; barely old enough to be a squire. Also, he seemed very nervous, as if he wasn't sure he could prove himself in a fight. Then again, there was a fairy and a demon, so that could account for something. Finally, Maia stepped out of the shadows. She said in a cool voice. "You, whatever you are, you look like a squire or a young and foreign knight from far away where they let children become knights. I have to ask a favour."

The thief had a point-the man did look rather young. I tended not to notice how young people were, since I looked like I was ten years old. And he didn't exactly look like the confident knights who had chased me out of their keep when I requested a night there a couple years back... He probably was a squire. I shrugged-it didn't matter. All the more easier to disarm if he attacked me. I went around the squire, calling to mind a spell that made me harder to see-the eyes would slide off me if they looked at me directly, and if they saw me out of the corner of their eye, they wouldn't see anything. I began walking around the town, searching. I didn't find what I was looking for out in the streets, so I looked inside houses. Nothing. I shrugged. It was only duty that made me look, but I was glad there was none. All the less work for me. I walked back to the inn, and went inside. I groaned, finding one. Why was it always the knights who never wanted to go back to the grave, believing they still had some duty to the town, or village, or king, or whatever? Couldn't it just be a peasant? LAST time I'd tried freeing a knight's soul from the bonds of the living world, it nearly killed me. I sighed, and walked over to the knight. The emblem on his shield was the same as the man's outside. Then he WAS a squire.
I kneeled by the knights head and set two of my fingers to each temple, relaxing every muscle in my body until the only thing they were doing was holding me upright. My breathing stopped. My heart stopped. Everything that made me alive stopped. Then, my spirit freed itself from the dead shell that was my body, and I looked around. There was no longer the faint glimmerings above the knight-now the spirit of the dead man was clear to my sight. Now for the hard part.

"Er... This is Saturn." Marcus shows Dragus a clear crystal, with a jade tint. It was larger at the top, but slowly got smaller, until at the bottom it ended in a point. Near the top half, large jagged spikes came out of it, making a circle around the crystal. A blue mist-like substance swirled around in it. "He is my destiny, and my curse. That is, when I get back to Fytallas." ((To anyone in the the other Fantasy thread (By Misslynx), Isaac and Marcus have an entwined destiny... Yay for connections!)) "Interesting... I haven't seen anything like that before, only in books. And even than not like this. What do you think Shanala?" Dragus looks at the dragon. To Marcus nonthing is being said, yet Dragus and Shanala keep gestering their heads at each other. Than Dragus turns his head to Marcus again. "Shanala sences something strange happoning... She's afraid of something, but were not sure...."

"Well, you probably never seen a crystal like this before, because they are... Well, evil. They control there victims, when a certain pitch of sound hits them. All are effected, except a lucky few. Mine is one of them. It is only partially good though. Oh, by the way, I'm Marcus."
He lookes from Dragus to Shanala.
"I sence something too. It seems faint though... Maybe we should go to where it is coming from? I could get us there in a snap."

Dragus looks at him, and back to the sleek dragon. Shanala nods her head.
"Ok, lets go. But I will need to stop at my home before we leave. Care to join me"
Dragus starts to walk towrds town. Shanala flies into the clouds following.

Hmmm....IDL and Eon are both leaving for a certain amount of time... IC: Maia stepped past the squire, and walked inside the inn. Maia recoiled slightly, yet stepped confidently nearer to the dead body with the demon kneeling over it. Not at the demon; Maia had always been uneasy around dead bodies. They were the one thing that made Maia not thief material. Maia decided that, if she couldn't at least learn fencing from that nervous squire, she could learn something. She stepped cautiously over to the demon, and said "Um, excuse me, but I have a favour to ask of you. You wouldn't be able to teach me anything you know, would you?" She asked, politeness and sincerity in her voice and innocence all over her face. She had changed her cloak back to green and had drawn her hood back from her face. Well, I've already been an ELf, a Druid and a Thief. Why not a Demon as well?
