Brandon careened out the door. The girl had let go, finally.
He found an open window and took the chance.
He flew around til he reached the common room, where the window was blessedly opened.
He carreened in, whipped off his cloak, and dove into his bed.

Bloody clumsy, idiotic moron of a freaking bloody Griffin-imitator, stupid pile of feathers, not a shred of brains in his entire freaking... I wasn't sure if I was just thinking those thoughts or sending them. I didn't care. Let everyone know what a moron he was. He could have killed me! I smelled around for Gwen, and found her.
You. Come with me. Now. We're going to talk. You are going to explain everything, I told her as I walked towards the exit to the kitchens. Then my stomach started grumbling. I sighed, my nostrils flaring.
You, House-elf, I thought to one over at the oven. Get the big black cat something to eat, will you? And put it in something it can carry around. Like a basket. It wasn't long before I had Couldron Cakes, some bacon wrapped in some sort of cloth, some chicken, a couple bottles of butterbear and a bowl to pour it in, and other miscellanious food items. I picked up the basket in my mouth and told Gwen to follow me.

Brandon held his breath.
Please... let everyone... think... I'm asleep... he thought...

((Back... Let me have some time to post what I need to post... I'll edit this post when I'm done with it.))
Marie let go as she felt the thing jolt and slip out of her grasp. After her body plopped onto the ground, she looked up. That was strange... There was a sudden glimsp of what looked like lion's feet, and then it was gone.
She decided to think about it later... Right now, there were other things to worry about. There was the whole matter of the panther in the kitchen, and then there was this strange girl just crawling around on the ground. Ah well... Might as well help the girl... Marie thought as she found a pair of glasses on the floor, handing them to Mercy. "Lose these?" she chuckled, placing the glasses into Mercy's hand.

Brandon then realized his sheer stupidity.
He had full dress robes on, looked like he had just fought a troll AN D HADNT PUT AWAY HIS INVISIBILITY CLOAK!
He lept out and was aobut to put away the cloak when he realized something.
Why not watch the people in the kitchens from OUTSIDE?
And find Shae, heb thought.

Mercy blinked as she felt the glasses in her hand. "T-thank you." Putting them back on her face, she looked up. "What's your name, I don't recognize you... I'm Mercy.... oh, we're probably not in the same house, of course."
Turning to the door, she noticed that the black shadow was gone. The room felt... more empty.

Gwen's stomach lurched. Now Shae was going to find out about her secret. This was most definitely not cool. Gwen numbly refused all the House-elves guessing where she was and offering her food. All she could do was coolly lie her head off to Shae. That was the only answer. She swallowed the remainder of her toffee and she reappeared. She then followed Shae into a deserted corridor. Gwen started slowly. "Look, I don't know what you think you saw in the kitchens. I don't even relaly know what you didn't see. All I know was that I found a toffee on some table, and put it in my mouth. Then, I simply started turning invisible! Of course, I had to hide after I heard that roar, but then you came in and I thought it was you!" Gwen shrugged her shoulders expressively. It wasn't a lie, she had just found the toffee, except she "found" it in her pocket. And she didn't even know what made the toffees make people invisible. Making sure her eyes gave away nothing, although she wasn't nervous in the slightest, as she wasn't lying, she didn't have anything to worry about. It's not like a panther can smell someone bending the truth...
OOC: And you CAN'T.

((We can't smell lies, but a cat's senses are at LEAST as good as a dog's... and you know what they say, 'dogs smell fear!' Hehehe... then again, it could be pretty easy to mistaken your being nervous/scared for something else... I better think for a while on what would be the most natural reply... Ah, forget it! I'll just be human when I question you!))
I didn't answer, just kept leading her to Myrtle's bathroom. "Stay out here till I call you, or Myrtle says you can," I told her as I turned back into human form. No matter what, I didn't want Gwen knowing what the password was to where I slept every night and retreated to every time the Slytherins were cruel to me.
I walked over to the stall with the crack and said the magic word. "Hurry up, now! It won't stay open forever!" I called.

"You're quite welcome," she smiled, "and... my name's Marie. Nice to meet you." Well... At least she wasn't being horrible to Mercy like she was to Gwen at their first meeting...or that boy that followed her into the kitchens. Then again, Marie had been a bit frustrated in meeting them...And when Marie gets frustrated, even a tiny bit, she gets crabby. Marie glanced at her watch..."Shoot." she muttered. It was 11:32 at night. "Well... Uh... I gotta go. Again, pleasure meeting you." She hastilly said as she quickly walked towards the door.

Brandon dashed down the hallway, invisible. Now he could catch them.
Then he hit Marie for the third time that night.
"OW!" he shouted, and instictively became a griffin, the cloak no longer covering his four lion feet.

"OW!" he shouted, and instictively became a griffin, the cloak no longer covering his four lion feet. (( Erm... I thought Griffins fronts were that of an eagle, and their backs were that of a lion... That would make the front "feet" be eagle talons and the hind "feet" a lions', not all lion's feet... )) Marie stumbled backwards, and looked up to see a Griffin's four feet. Her mouth was open, but no scream was coming out. That yelp sounded a lot like the boy she had run into earlier... She quickly got her head back together, and got out her wand, shouting "Petrificus Totallus" as she pointed her wand just above the legs. The spell sped in Brandon's direction.

Mercy shrugged as Marie ran away. "It's not that late." She turned to the door and walked silently through the hall.
In the dark, she didn't see the forms of two beings and walked right into one. "What the..." Hearing Marie's voice, she said, "What's going on? Did something happen?"
