OOC: Why is it that only one person noticed that my character was just kidapped?
IC: Karair opened her eyes slowly. She saw that she was in a cave, one wall of which was composed of closely packed stalactites that touched the floor, like the bars of a cage. "Where am I?" she said, with a note of panic in her voice. "You are within the Gryphon stronghold of Arnenei, little Griffin. I decided that you would make a useful hostage. You will remain here until we rule over all of the Griffin Bands, which will come quite soon. In fact, we have already begun! Hahahaha!" and he left, still chuckling.

((New character-hope no one minds ) A large female green Griffin lifts her head from a corner of the cage Karair is in. "You, too, huh? My name's Kellor. I was caught a couple days ago. If you don't mind me asking, what band are you? You look like a Forest. I'm a Woods, by the way." Profile: Name: Kellor Gender: Female Appearance: Green and brown. Depending on how the light hits her, the colors are in different patterns. Abilities: Her powerful command over Earth aids her often, adding power to her already brutal attacks. Bio: She is larger than most Griffins, due to her background. Her great-grandfather on her father's side and her mother were actually Gryphons, which gives her not only size, but great strength. Her parents had always been loners because of their backgrounds, but she, as a child, had been accepted into the Woods band after her parents had both died of a mysterious illness.

Saivara narrows down her choices.
"Hmmm... I think I'll either defend the cliff, or help rescue Karair."

"I am Karair, and I am indeed a Forest. Are there others here?"

Kellor shook her head.
"No, we are the only ones here. From what I have heard, only the Woods and Forest have been attacked, so far. All of the other Woods had the sense to run, but I was overconfident of my strength and tried to drive the Gryphons out. Soon I was outnumbered, and captured. I hope that the others were able to warn one of the other bands about the Gryphons, so they have time to flee. Unless all the bands unite, that is all we can do. Flee. How were you captured? Have you sent any of your band to warn the others, as I should have done?"

"A Griffin named Aolynn went to get help from the Cliff Band, and we were about to send others when we were attacked. I was knocked out and carried here. I know not of the others, but I hope they were able to get out safely."

"Good. With luck, this Aolynn will reach the Cliff band in time."
Kellor sighs.
"I wish I could help you get out of here, but I have no idea how. The stalactites and stalagmites are too strong for even me to break through, and we are too deep underground for us to try and dig up. The only way out is guarded by seven strong Gryphons, so we can't get out that way, either. My magic is useless here, for some reason, so I can't shift the earth above or around us. We are well and truly caught."

((Okay, back to Aolynn, now))
The Griffin led me along the cliffs for awhile, occasionally looking over their shoulder with a sort of untrusting look on their face. I couldn't blame them.
After a while, we finally landed near an opening to a deep cave. There was plenty of light inside, though, so I suspected that the Elder was gifted in magic. Finally getting a good look at the griffin who had led me, I saw it was a rather handsome male, his feathers in different shades of brown, making interesting patterns on his body.
"The Elder is in there."
"Thank you."
I went in, and soon realized that the cave was much deeper than I had first thought. It branched off in several places, but only one path was lit, so I followed it. Soon I reached a large room, with a very old Griffin lying in the middle, in her nest.
"Elder of the Cliff band," I said respectfully, dipping into a low bow.
"Rise, young one. Why have you come? Has your band wishes to make a treaty with the Cliff band?"
"No, Elder. I come with grave news. My band, the Forest band, have been attacked by several Gryphons. The few of us who were successful in defending our nests from single Gryphons were driven out by larger groups. One of our number, a female named Karair, was taken prisoner by a large Gryphon. We don't know what has happened to several of ours, and had no time to find out. I came to you for help, Elder, in retrieving Karair and driving these monsters from the land of the Griffins. This concerns us all, and if you do not join in this struggle now, I fear you will later. This way, you are prepared, and will not be caught by surprise."

Dragus is sitting outside the cave in the shadows. " I have to wait untill the Gryphon leaves to save her," thought Dragus. " Maybe I should just just sneak in slowly. Yha, thats what I'll do. I don't think they have strong Gryphons guarding her, or at least not now.Dragus slowly sneaks in the shadows. He sneaks up to the Gryphon, lisening to its plans.

Saivara went out of the tree and to the cliff, where a gryphon started to approach her. She waited for him to come near. Then she made a loud screeching sound. He backed away.

Well, if the 2 of us keep posting, it should go back up the list pretty soon and be noticed again. So let's get going!
IC: "Wait, if I were to Ice Blast the stalactites, they might become brittle enough for you to bash them apart! I just need to charge up, so get ready to get outta here!"

IC: "Wait, if I were to Ice Blast the stalactites, they might become brittle enough for you to bash them apart! I just need to charge up, so get ready to get outta here!" Kellor brightened up visibly. "I never thought of that! It should work. But I have a better idea. If you can blast them with fire immediately after blasting them with ice, that would make them even weaker, and I'll be able to go through them like a bull through a paper wall!"

"Unfortunatly, I cannot breathe fire. The only one I know of who can breathe fire and ice is a Griffin named Dragus. We'll have to try just ice. Now get ready, here I go!" Karair blasted the stalactites with her icy breath, and they creaked with the sudden cold. "NOW KELLOR!!!"

Kellor ran towards the stalactites and stalagmites, following right behind the ice and hitting with a crunch a bare second after the ice. Some of them cracked, but none of them broke. She kept pushing with all her might, until she toppled one over, then another, before collapsing in exhaustion. The hole wasn't big enough for her to fit through, being so large, but an average Griffin could get through, if she squeezed through.
"Go," she whispered, before fainting.
