Brandon walked semi-consciously into the cafeteria. Small wires lead out of his backpack into his ears. It was his ingenious little way of making sure no one saw his CD player. The headphones were very small, so they fit just into you ear. His CD player was smashing out GC's Girls & Boys, his favorite part just coming on.
"Girls dont like boys, girls like cars and moneeeeeeeeeeey..." it said, right before the guitar part. Brandon found the song very funny. However, he was a walking disaster area, because he was reading a book at the same time and his backpack was unzippered. He was oblivious to the world.
He sat down at a table and closed his book, then reached into his backpack to skip to The Anthem, when he noticed he had jsut sat down to the girl Likiki. She didnt notice him so he reached into his backpack, switched the song, and moved around to the other side of the table.

Likiki looked up from her book she was reading to change CDs. Noticing him, she paused it.
"Hi."

Brandon thought he heard something so he looked up. Likiki was smiling at him. He hurriedly reached into his backpack to turn off the sound. He pulled out hte little earphones and nodded. "Hi." OOC: Just wondering...first off, I beggining to think the plot is a non-jocks overthrow jocks type scenario. Also, are you allowed to have a crush boyfriend/girlfriend that could affect the plot somehow? (NOT suggesting my character has a crush or girlfriend; I am RPing someone like myself, and I have no girlfriend (probably never will either ) and no crush; however, my character has a bit exaggerated characteristic of mine - cautious around pretty girls, I've had the bad experience of being trapped with falsehoods and lied to by them, so my character will too (why else would he be playing the songGirls and Boys? ) EDIT: Fyi, I stated earlier kids between 12 and 14 "are" in my class/grade.

Lucille and Claire sat down at the same title, the former with her head buried in a novel. Claire sighed, guiding her friend around an obstruction in the form of a particular vicious cheerleader. "Yeah, thanks, Claire," she murmurs absently. "Oh," she remarked, looking up suddenly. "Didn't I talk to you on AIM last night? Likiki, or something was your name..." Claire sighed, brushing auburn hair out of her strangely black eyes. Known for continuously riding the barrier between "popular" and "outcast," Claire seemed to have retained the best qualities of both worlds- the beauty and social grace of the vacuous girls surrounding the jocks, and the intelligence and common decency of "geek" ranks. "Nice to meet you," she says to both Likiki and Brandon. "I'm Claire Wilder, and this is my friend Lucille." Lucille nodded at them. "Yeah, nice to meet you."

Claire's Profile
Name: Claire Vanessa Angeline Wilder Ancestry: French, English, Irish, Dutch, and a bit of Cherokee blood that gives her her black eyes Hair: auburn, streaked with sunshine-gold and pale bronze, cut into a sleek, layered bob, pinned back with elaborate, butterfly-shaped rhinestone pins on either side of the zigzag part Eyes: Deep black, surprising framed by her sun-streaked hair General appearance: petite, delicate face, full lips in a permanent grin, snub nose, sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of her nose, tanned complexion, walks with confidence and grace Clothes: A black t-shirt that reads in rainbow letters, "We cannot achieve harmony if everyone sings on the same note," faded jeans decorated with black embroidery, blue flip-flops Personality: Known for being a revolutionary, Claire has always been a bit of a rebel, or as much of one as she can be with a reputation and a record to watch. She possesses a frank kindness and an open, trusting nature, enhanced by her generosity and talkative, outgoing ways. Making friends comes easily to her, but she is quick to anger and even more quick to act and makes judgements. She wishes to become a professional singer, which is why she bothers to associate with the popular crowd. She is very interested in helping those less fortunate, so she volunteers at the Red Cross on weekends and writes music promoting tolerance. Despite her "image" as one who has achieved near perfection, Claire struggles to hide her insecurities, brought on by the pressures of maintaining her reputation, behind a confident facade. The jocks call her the "Ambassador to the Geeks," a name that she dislikes intensely. Academics: good grades in everything, although her math is below-level. Her language arts are approximately two years beyond level, and her social studies is advanced placement. Her parents expect her to maintain her good grades, but she feels there are more important things in life.

((Okay, fine, I'll still be at school. But no doing anything to Nicole, okay?))
Clay is walking down the cafeteria, being a bit more cautious of jocks, but still not looking where he's going. He drops his lunch, and looks to see hee dropped it on Mark. "Well, there goes Most Poise in the yearbook," said Nicole. "Uh, hi, Mark," Clay says in a slightly nervous voice. Mark stands up and glares down at him. "Hand over your left over lunch money now," growls Mark. Suddenly, Clay isn't so nervous. "HA! Yeah, right. Just because I accidently spill some food on you, doesn't mean I'm going to repay it with money," said Clay. "I want it anyway," said Mark. "Well you're not gonna get it," replied Clay. "What are you going to do, use your self-defence?" asks Nicole. "What's to defend from?" answers Clay, confidently. Clay swings his foot back, and forth, back, and forth, catching Marks attention. While Mark is looking at Clay's shoes, he quickly pokes his eyes with his two fingers. Holding his eyes, Mark shouts swears and things like, "What a cheap shot!" Clay walks the other way, just to bump into another jock. When he's just about to get pounded, a plate of nachos from the other side of the room come and hit the jock right in the face. Then he hears, "Food fight!" Perfect timing, thought Clay, running through the cafeteria doors.

Alex is about to go into the cafeteria, as Clay runs out. He sees cheese sauce against the small window of the door, and quickly changes his plans to eat outside for the day. Besides, he had lunch from home. Plus it's a better way for me to avoid those jocks... eh? Alex grins, turning around to go outside.

Outside, Clay is walking along when he bumps into Alex. "Oops, heheh, sorry. It seems I've been bumping into everyone today." Clay quickly picks up everything he dropped then stood up. "What's your name, anyway?"

Claire notices Clay walking through the doors and turns to follow him. "Hi. I'm Claire Wilder. You ride my bus," she remarks. "I'm sorry about this morning. I wasn't trying to start a rumor, or anything. You're right, he did deserve it." She looks back over to the table where Lucille has resumed reading and sighs. "I'm just trying to spread the news, especially to people like my friend over there, who seriously need the confidence. It's like the start of a movement, if you like that sort of thing. I'll see you later." She walks back toward the table and sits down again.

"Yeah, that's me." Likiki smiled. She was really glad she wasn't engaged in the food fight. Watching the others, Likiki rolled her eyes. "Food fight. Phht. That's just stupid."

Lucille finally looks up from her book when a piece of toast whizzes past her ear. "Oh," she sighs, disgusted. "A 'food fight.' How pointless." Claire nods in agreement. "Yeah. Who started it? Maybe I can talk to them." She looks over the craning necks and pudding-filled hands of the crowd. "Don't bother," Lucille advises from behind Flowers of Algernon. "It's not our problem." But Claire shakes her head, determined to find the source of the issue.
