What word processing or planning programs are you using this time around for Nano? Last year I used The Writer's Notebook, which used to be free but isn't anymore. It was quite a good tool, actually and I would use it again but my novel this time round doesn't really suit a chapter by chapter breakdown because its so scatterbrained. So I'm going to use regular old Microsoft Word 2007 and Q10 for when I need distraction free writing. So what is everyone else using?

Star Office, I think, although MS Word would probably be more efficient. But I'm used to writing with SO. Who knows, I might use both.

I write on my AlphaSmart Neo, then upload it into MS Word (I have Windows XP, if that indicates which version I have... *shrugs*). I'm not especially fond of the program, but I've always used it, so it's both easy and comfortable for me. So I just ignore its faults, like its awful spelling and inability to understand proper English grammar. After all, if it's not broken, why fix it?

I have to find my Alphasmart. I just moved and it's in some box somewhere. =/ Now I want it.

I use good ol' Word, and always have done. Last year I did do a bit on OpenOffice and Q10, but not much. Oh, and I did use Temptation Blocker when I needed to catch up, but it ended up messing up my computer a couple of times (only needed a reboot, but *shrugs*) so I stopped using it.

I use Microsoft Word 2007...but I save it as a Word 2000 compatable document so I can open it on other computers =) I hear a lot about 2007 being really difficult to use, but I honestly didn't find it very challanging.
...Okay, I was annoyed when I couldn't find the word count button. It took me about five minutes to realize that it was in the bottom left corner of the document. All the time. It changes as you write.
