Now that I've solidified my plot a little, I'll post. x3"Sidekick"
Basic Plot
My protagonist is a girl who discovers that she has superpowers. Being a practical person, she decides that the best way to use these powers would be to become a superhero. There are a lot of superheroes out there, after all. Unfortunately, her first mission doesn't go too well. Though she has everything under control, the fact that she's a rather petite 13-year-old makes the very people she's trying to save believe she's in much more danger than she is.
This is very irritating, especially since she believes she's really the best person to handle disasters in her home city, rather than other heroes who have much farther to travel. An experiment with a cloaking device also goes awry - apparently, being rescued by an invisible someone makes people panic.
And so, she devises a plan: she will frame another person. She recruits a man who has a very proper look for a superhero - tall, muscular, handsome, blonde - and informs him that he will be her new cover identity. Safely invisible with her cloaking device, she's going to fake the whole thing so he will appear to be the real hero.
The fact that this young man is actually rather quiet, withdrawn, and only wants a peaceful life changes nothing.
After a series of misadventures, the unlikely duo's greatest crisis strikes: a supervillain who has designated himself as this new hero's Arch-Enemy has kidnapped a group of civilians and held them hostage. Unfortunately, the super-powered young girl is among them, and the "fake" hero is left outside. Can they save each other - and themselves - and still protect their secret?
Characters
Have no names, as you can tell from the rather awkward plot synopsis XD
-Main character - tsundere-type young superheroine
-Secondary character - quiet, "gentle giant" type guy who only wants to be left alone
-A mad scientist - the main girl's science teacher who works on Mad Science in his free time, and one of only two people who knows about the two superheroes' secret.
-Brian - the only named character, the scientist's grandson, and an aspiring Mad Scientist himself. Even though everything he ever invents seems to go wrong.
