A bit of a satirical thread title. I've started on NaNo a few times now and always give up fairly early on. I just lose interest or get busy or what have you.
I'm thinking this year may be the year.
What would I write on?
I don't know... <.<

So I was walking last night and a girl had the word "FAIL" on her car.
It got my mind wandering a bit, and I thought about what if that was someone's name? Fail. But supposed to be pronounced similar "Fah-eel". Got me an idea to try that for a character. Have someone named Fail by their parents, but everyone just pronounces it like the normal sound, so it's a nickname kind of thing.
What would this person be like? Would they be someone that failed a lot? Or the golden apple achiever? I'll pursue this a bit.

Your character might be more determined to achieve because of her name, yet ends up being a failure... or she might be a dejected sort who always gives up before she starts anything, but ends up being a classical success story. I like the title you chose. It reminds me of a quote from a book I once read: Persistence is closest to the heart of mother nature.

The funny thing is that it had nothing to do with this character... it was just something I popped in to make fun of my always failing at NaNo. XD
And yeah, I'm thinking more that this person (girl or guy, haven't decided yet, but she'll probably end up being a girl) will be the kind that success actually comes naturally to, almost sickeningly so.
