Yes, yes, we're all aiming for 50k, or 30k, or some extraordinarily large number of words. But what in your specific plot keeps you writing? What scene do you desperately want to get to? I've got several of these, but the farthest-away one I can think of is the scene containing this exchange:
"He's brutally murdering innocent people!"
"Everyone needs a hobby."

Hmm... good question... I guess... The time where I decide whether or not Jessica is going to bounce between 1988 and 2008, or stay in 1988 until the end (as I initially planned). I need to justify it either way, and I can't decide. |

As you might be able to gather from my story's title, I'm writing about werecats =) I'm SO impatient for the scene where I finally get to reveal my werecat character. And then there's a scene in my head that "cues" to the first fourty-two seconds of this music perfectly. I've actually drawn this scene out before (badly, I can't draw humans to save my life). And I have three characters I'm really eagar to write about who haven't come in yet. |

I know exactly what I am going for. <3 It is the part where Marie finally defeats Me-Go and Me-Go's backstory comes out in all it's angsty glory and the moral blurring it casts across all the characters that were previously regarded as just 'good' and 'evil'. I love writing those things that blur the moral line. x3 |

Now that I've thought about it, I only have a few things I'm looking forward to.  How... odd. It seems like more. The whole episode where Elizebeth and Haley are all tied up and sleep deprived. And the spats at their school. Mmm, spats. ...and then solving that whole war. Maybe I can get a few secret passageways in there somewhere. |

Several scenes. But for the sake of keeping this PG13, the part where Johnson and Roxanne tumble into the water. Roxanne gets knocked on the head and wakes up in the hospital, deaf (and still pregnant? Haven't decided.) Yeah, I'm morbid. :k |

When Aloize meets Kanza. It's long overdue, and I am so looking forward to it.
Also when Irony makes this comment,
"Well it's about bloody time, [name for Kanza]."
It's an amusing sort of scene. :3
And.. that's all. How odd. o_0 The Aloize/Kanza scene should be the most fun; it's what I'm going for right now, anyway.

I've got several parts I can't wait to write. Eris's story. I absolutely love Eris to death, and she gets her fair share of love scenes in this novel. XD Robin's fillers. Periodically throughout the story, Robin takes over the POV and keeps everyone informed about how everything's tied together, and also gives the reader information about the minor characters that do have major roles in the way everything is played out. To be honest, the shooting. At the very end, Sarah pulls a gun on her school, shooting down some staff members and several more students. It's also a very emotional scene because of LilliaxMorgan and VansxAngie. And I'm debating on whether I want to kill Meg, or just cripple her really badly. I don't want to be too much of a jerk to Eris. XD |

I'll probably end up avoiding spoilers anyways, but I might as well go with the trend.  Right now I really can't wait for the time when Illiete and Virrin get to meet. <3 And the scene that happens either before or after, haven't quite decided yet. But I'm leaning toward after for the angst factor.
And a certain spoilery tragedy is playing through my head rather vividly, so I can't wait to get to that point, either. The angst... it will be angsty.
And there's also a few various song-inspired scenes I wanna do... I'm planning on having them cross an ocean at some point or another, for one. And I'm still searching for an excuse to do Killix's dare and make a scene out of song lyrics.
So yep. :3 Few things I'm trying to build up to, there. |
