Current Word pwn count: ...who cares! =D *throws papers* Yes I am writing a NaNo. It is called "Late Reply" Bonus Points for guessing the meaning of the title. I do not have a NaNo account, though. XD I dun need one, 'cause it's not a serious NaNo in the least... due to my horrendous writing skillz. I probably wont finish it, and will most likely never read/edit it ever again after November. XD Themes (in no order): - TAOPAK & Dark Tide - Kingdom Hearts - YuGiOh! (references) - Dynasty Warriors (& references) - ??? who knows. Yep, it's a big OC/fanfic-type-thing... and I have no idea where the plot should go, I'm just writing whatever the plot flows itself into. XD You're probably thinking "EW HOMG people shouldn't throw their own OC's and worlds into crossover fics!!!" but TAOPAK does it all the time for humour purposes... so much so that it's normal for me. XD 'sokay, I promise Killix isn't going to Mary Sue her way through the story. XD BEGINNING OF STOREE: Story starts off with Killix (the character, not me) relaxing on a (deserted, remote) beach somewhere in Dark Tide... whomgalofasudden, some freaky subspace distortion erupts accross several universes. The result? People are sucked up and spit out into random universes. XD
So of course, Sora (of Kingdom Hearts) unexpectedly lands right on top of Killix from the sky. (out of all of the possible locations on that beach, too) Killix vaguely remembers Sora, but he doesn't remember her. (reference to my one time playing KH about 4 years ago XD) She also humourously mistakenly refers to him as Renton when they first meet, then corrects herself. XD
They exchange some "OMG WHAT HAPPEN?" moments, and then decide to find the nearest portal gate (sends you to a special plane with portals to other universes/dimensions) to send Sora home... but FIRST, Killix decides he needs some Chocowhip cookies as a souvenir. XD
Unfortunately, just as they make it to the road, they're attacked by an Alta Imp (A spacegoing species from Dark Tide, which never intentionally *cough*physically*cough* harm people) ship.
*insert laser avoiding here*
Then, just after they lose the ship in a forest, they notice that the "tears" in the sky are multiplying all over the place... That's all, 'cause that's a lot of plot, just summarized. XD

So... I just got through writing a more interesting part of the story. =D and you know what? I think I'm going to summarize the entire thing as I write it. XD Why? 'cause I dunno... Maybe someone here wants to know what happens? XD So they make their way along the country road to the nearest town, and immediately notice that everyone is gone from there, too. The whole place is deserted.
It's getting dark outside, and as they're looking around a park area trying to figure out what's going on, an Atma Imp appears from hiding, and attacks Sora with a blast from its standard staff weapon. Killix pushes Sora out of the way, and is hit in the arm by the energy blast from the staff. She quickly counters with a spellstone attack and the Imp retreats.
Just before passing out from the spreading pain, or being paralyzed from the quick acting electric poison, she tells him that it will wear off if she rests.
Sora (literally) drags her to a small, abandoned clinic house, and waits for her to recover while he takes a look at the clinic's supplies. You never can be too prepared!
(early morning)
When Killix regains consciousness, he tells her that they're going into one of those tears the next morning. He has a feeling that they're the answer to this weirdness, and thinks they're actually mini portals to who-knows-where. (and are related to the original hiccup that sucked people into other worlds) Killix goes along with it.
Sora makes a hobo stick out of a broom and some bedsheets to hold the extra food rations and medicine supplies, but Killix confidently says that they don't need that because her Storage Watch can hold anything as data and recompile them in physical form later.
They leave the small clinic house and approach one of the nearest, and lowest to the ground spacial tears. Killix attempts to walk straight into it as if it were a normal portal, but Sora stops her. XD He throws a twig at the tear, and the twig EXPLODES into sawdust. Oooookay, perhaps they shouldn't walk into that one.
Well there has to be a reason why the Alta/Atma Imp fleets are still there (as weird as they are acting), right? Killix has a plan. Find an Imp.
They return to the park where they were attacked the previous night, and wait. Sora as "the bait" and Killix hiding in the bushes for a sneak attack. An Atma Imp does indeed show, and pounces. On Killix.
They roll out of said bushes and Sora jumps up in surprise.
"If only I had my keyblade..." *KEYBLADEMAGICALLYVOIPSTOHISHANDS* "Oh!"
and beats the Imp off Killix before it can do much harm (Imps have little physical strength, anyway. XD) They restrain the little guy, he reluctantly leads them to his small space pod.
He tells them that the fleet he belongs to was attacked by the seeping red mist that pours from the spacial tears in space. He was returning to the flagship when it was suddenly swallowed whole by a giant tear. He powered his little space pod as fast as it could go to the nearest planet (this one) and the mist never touched him.
Killix and Sora are both confused by the story of red mist. The tears on the planet's surface don't seem to secrete that...
The Imp is relieved to find out that Killix and Sora aren't affected by the red mist as he previously thought. He claims it to make people go "insane"
Well, now the reasoning behind the previous Imp attacks now make sense. They must've also escaped being sucked into the tear, yet succumbed to the red mist.
Sora asks him if he can take them up in space, and the Imp refuses. "You can take my ship yourselves, but I'm not taking my chances up there until everything is back to normal!"
lalala They DO take his ship, and get up to see that the outer space looks like a big, cracked, leaky pot. As they make their way slowly through space, a small tear unexpectedly appears INSIDE the little space pod.
Second thoughts, anyone? "We either go inside, and have the possibility of being torn into fractals," "or we stay inside, get corrupted by this red mist, and kill each other in our spiral into insanity"
With nothing to lose, they jump into the expanding tear.
It whips them around, distorted bumpy portal style, and they reappear...
Inside a G.A.M.E World "Galactic. Artificial. Man-made. Entertainment" Which are man-created dimensions in space devoted to various types of games that are created to give a full experience without and real, physical danger.
Killix recognises what they are in, but has never seen a G.A.M.E such as the one they have appeared. It seems corrupted, with several different G.A.M.E themes jumbled together.
They also notice something else: People. A lot of confused, and scared people.
and that's where I've left off. XD I've got some idea of where this might go, but I'm still just winging it. *shrugs* My NaNo has the most random MCs, too. XD

It's starting to make some sense, now... or perhaps totally not... maybe. I dunno. XD I think I forgot to mention in my last summary, but all of the people were not inside an active game, yet, but were inside the waiting room area, where all players go when their game ends. From there, you can take a portal back home, or play a new game... but in this place, there's no way out.
They wander around the waiting room, talking to the many people they find, including The Wyld Phish, Sur Li, and Boobelda, who are complaining that the games they had to play were "too hard"
a conversation snippet in script format, 'cause it's shorter:
Phish: Augh, don't remind me of that stealth WWIII Strip Poker golf we had to play... Sur Li: I thought these games were supposed to make sense! Sora: There's something very wrong with this place. Killix: Well, G.A.M.E's aren't typically supposed to abduct random people, and then NOT let them go home. Boobelda: I don't know, I kind of liked that Super Model Minesweeper we had to play last time. I only lost because the game couldn't handle my beauty. Sur Li: No! We lost because you exploded all of your allies!
Sur Li then tells them that nobody has been able to win a game yet, and every time they are sent back to the waiting room, more people appear in the corrupt G.A.M.E world.
Sora guesses that the tears are expanding all over the place, accross different worlds. Sur Li wonders what would happen if the people trapped in the game actually won a game, and Killix replies with "I dunno. It would fix everything?" and then Phish immediately dubs Killix a genius, agreeing that what she said is exactly what will happen. XD
"That's it, then. Sora, Phish, Sur Li... we must WIN A GAME FOR GREAT JUSTICE! To fix the universe so it is no longer Messed up O' Clock!"
"What!? What about ME!?" Boobelda interrupted angrily.
"You can... not get in our way!" Phish retorted thoughtfully, pointing at Boobelda in an accusing fashion.
A game finally starts, and the game world looks as if it were all composed of cubes. The NPC anounces that to win this round of the game, they must "Protect the RAM as it heads for Tetris Gate" and then knock down the gate with the ram.
The "ram" looks like a red line block from tetris, except it is wood-grain and is on wheels. XD The Tetris Gate is a large gate, built of various tetris blocks.
The NPC warns them that if they are not careful, the archers will shoot all players down, and the game will be over.
So they (Killix, Sora, Phish, Sur Li and Boobelda) compose a strategy with the other people in the game. They decide that the best way is to have four groups of players formed around the ram as an escort, and a mob of players directly around the ram itself as a last resort protection.
They begin the game as planned. Boobelda loses a stilleto and a line of other players are knocked over when someone trips over it and cause a chain reaction. They are eliminated by the enemies who surround them, leaving a big gap of open ram area. XDXD
Sur Li notices the vulnerability and rushes from his place in the escort to it, and is immediately struck by an arrow and eliminated. XD but his sacrifice wasn't in vain! The ram reaches the gate wall!
"Okay everyone," Phish announced. He was standing in front of the group, in between the ram and the wall.
"On the count of three, we need to ALL push the ram into the giant Tetris wall,"
"Three!" Boobelda shouted, and the crowd did exactly as Phish told. Unfortunately, Phish only had time to let out a startled grunt of pain as the ram pancaked him into the wall, and eliminated him.
XD The ram broke through the wall and Tetris blocks fell all over the place, crushing and eliminating a few people. XD The final rush of enemies came out from behind the wall, and were eventually destroyed.
Quoth Killix: "What, no Lu Bu? Well, I'm disappointed"
They had won the first round! =D HURRAY! The winning players were sent into the intermission room, and rejoined with all of the previously eliminated players.
...and that's where it left off. Definitely the best part so far. The TAOPAK antics just makes the story. XD I'm SO not going to get this finished. Too much story left, and not enough November left. XD EDIT: I've been peeking in some other NTWFer's NaNo threads, and it seems that nobody else is giving somewhat detailed plot summaries of their NaNo. XDXD YAY I WIN FOR BREAKING THE NORM.

I'm working in as many random video game references as I can flow with. XD
Boobelda brags about her "brilliant strategy" to protect the ram by "throwing a shoe, and distracting the enemies with Sur Li" XD
Killix warns that the rounds will become more difficult as the game progresses (she sometimes plays these G.A.M.E's in her spare time, and there are several difficulty levels you can choose to play, but since this game is broken... blahblahblah), and they ponder how many rounds this messed up G.A.M.E actually has.
Before they get to think about much else, the next round begins. Everyone is seperated this time, and they all begin in seperate starting points of a gigantic labrynth.
(POV Killix) She blinks, sees the maze around her, and comments "Ooooh, a screensaver game?" XD
The NPC announces that "All players" must "proceed to the car at the bottom platform! — REPEAT — All players proceed to the car at the bottom platform! — REPEAT..." ... and it keeps repeating. Over and over and over... Killix remarks sarcastically "Well, THAT'S not distracting"
(POV Sora) Sora notices a timer pinned to his shirt, he assumes that each player has a set ammount of time to reach the mentioned car at the bottom platform, and heads down the maze.
After some word-y maze solving, Sora finds the car first by taking an elevator down to the bottom platform, and some other random players join him shortly after. The "car" turns out to be a 'train' made out of several sports cars. XD
Killix, Sur Li, Boobelda and Phish soon join them, Phish last. He immediately complains about his maze being too difficult (and it is later revealed to be just a straight line to the elevator XD)
Boobelda is surprised to hear their strategies, because she claims she just knocked down the walls with her Heel Tantrum attack (a berserker's type move where she stomps one foot into the ground in a tantrum.) when she got angry and couldn't solve it. XD
and it turns out Sora was the only one in the group who noticed they were being timed. XD
The car powers up and takes them down the underground tunnel to a large area that is a big field (walled in by brick wall and a brick ceiling)
The NPC appears and tells them that a player has to reach the exit for them to all win.
Sooo they go looking, and along the way run into some weirdness. (one of my favourite lines below)
"What are these things?" Sora questioned as he reached out a hand to touch one of the mysterious floating things.
"No!" Killix slapped his hand down.
"Those are fuzzies, don't touch those! You'll get dizzy," she warned.
XDXD They then watch as some other random player touches a Fuzzy, gets dizzy, falls off a hill into a swamp, and is eliminated by an alligator.
They decide that the ominous-looking cave -must- be where the exit is, so they enter it... and are almost instantly ambushed by enemies. The cave entrance seals itself. Sora draws his keyblade and dispatches most of them, while the members of TAOPAK (Killix, Phish, Sur Li and Boobelda) flail around with failitude. (and with Sur Li cowering in a corner) XD
Unfortunately, they learn that the supply of ambush enemies is unlimited when the last one is defeated and more spawn. XD
They had to find a way out of the cave, when Boobelda made a comment on cheating. (script format conversation snip:)
Boobelda: Ugh, this is annoying. Whenever I start losing at a video game, I usually just use my GameHackPro. Phish: Oh... I wondered how you got Germany to ally with America in PTOII... Boobelda: No, that was just a glitch. Sora: Guys, I can't hold these things forever! Killix: Hmmm... Boobelda, do you have your GameHackPro on you right now? Boobelda: What? Of course I do! I always carry around completely useless things on a daily basis. Killix: Excellent! I think I know how to get us out of here!
If you can't guess... she tries using the GameHackPro on the G.A.M.E world. XDXD Eeeeyep. Killix. Doing it the TAOPAK way since forever.
"Quickly now, everyone into the conveniently placed plot hole!" she made the 'go-go-go!' motion with her arms.
Of course, they escape, and the haxdoor (or plot hole) disappears when Killix realises that she forgot it inside the cave. =( Which means they can't use that tactic anymore, and I can't do that when I'm running out of clever plot ideas. XDXDXD
...and that is all. I'm thinking about making the cause of all of this something humourous, but I can't think of what it should be. XD

Sooo... ='( I accidently saved over a good portion of my NaNo with a blank page. That was a lame and irreversable mistake. XD So now I know I wont finish, and simply finishing the story was my only goal for participating this year. XD Ah-well, it was a good run. I might rewrite it one day just for the sake of posting it here, but I don't really feel like rewriting right now. XD Things are never as good when I have to rewrite them from scratch. XD

Plot Notes and random ideas for if I ever rewrite it:
+ have the cause of the initial anomaly be something to do with something seemingly random that someone in TAOPAK did. (most likely Wyld Phish or Boobelda Boobowski)
+ A G.A.M.E round involving: SUPER SUDDEN DEATH
+ A G.A.M.E composed of several (real life) game glitches. (Missingno, .4, ??, Ghost of Sheeva, Giromon's Jukebox, Zheng Letter Bug, The RoTK4 solider trick...)
+ have someone get injured, and Killix attempt to retrieve the med supplies from her watch... only to realise that the corrupt G.A.M.E world is causing interference and it wont work. XD
