Time was ticking, but as fast as it traveled it couldn’t match the speed of the gears in his mind as he turned the facts of the situation over and over, up and down, back and forth, tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.

I'm enjoying the writing process of this story. It's quite easy, actually, which is a surprise. I get stuck occasionally, but mostly I'm just having fun. I really hope I complete NaNo this year. I'm still behind the word count goal, but I'm making progress.

"Spoke eternity into silence" is so poetic even I can't get over it!

XDDDD ...I find this even more amusing as the character who said that was actually a soldier. Random dream-NPC soldier, but still. Quite Nazi-ish.

Anyways, my last sentence for the day:

After throwing a twig into a mysterious, crackling 'tear' that is hovering a few feet from the ground — and the twig explodes:

Turkeys were everywhere, on dishtowels, on cheap napkins and as tiny, dollar store figurines, window clings attached to the pane of glass beside the small table, accompanying multicolored ears of corn on the table cloth, and replacing the usual glass salt and pepper shakers in the middle of the same table, perched on either side of the shimmering sugar bowl.

...Not actual turkeys, obviously. Turkeys in the form of Thanksgiving decorations *nod nod*

That reference probably would have turned out better had I actually seen that movie. >_> But I couldn't resist.
