Dare: Include some word or phrase where something unfortunate ALWAYS seems to happen after it's said... but never specifically mention that it's unlucky. Double Points: If someone freaks out when it's said only for nothing to happen. Or, if the characters make up a "code name" for that word so no one else knows what they're talking about. Triple Points: If the word or phrase is a character's name. xD I can see that happening in my story. *takes* ^-^ More dares: Dare: Include the phrase "It was a dark and stormy night" Bonus: Include the phrase "He was a dark and stormy knight." Triple Bonus: Make the dark and stormy knight an important character. Also Triple Bonus: Include a beagle typing on a typewriter. 8D I AM SO TAKING THIS!!! It fits PERFECTLY with the story I have planned! *funkyhappydance* Dare: Have a character say of some problem, "I know the perfect way to solve this... PIE!" Double points: If they follow this statement by eating pie. Bonus points: If it's pumpkin pie. xD I'll take it. I think it would fit well with my story. x3

Ooh, I just remembered one I was gonna do. Dare: Use the line "Epic Equipment: Please Do Not Use" somewhere in your novel. Super mega bonus: If the character uses the Epic Equipment anyway, and as a result gets overwhelmed from too much epic.

Dare: Have a powerful character burst into the scene dramatically, and have a main character say to them 'Hey. Wazzup?/How you doing?' Bonus points: If the powerful character bursts through the door. Double points: If the former character is 'A massive warrior in full plate armor and armed with a massive, fiery greatsword.' Triple points: If the characters actually do know eachother.

Dare: Use some common trope from a genre of your choice, and then hang a lampshade on it. Double Bonus: If a character literally hangs a lampshade as the trope occurs. I could see this happening >D Seeing as my entire novel is sort of parodying the superhero genre. For those who did NaNo a previous year... Dare: Have one of your characters be reading a previous NaNo of yours. Double Dare: If this character is a huge fan of the book and always making references to it that no one else understands.

For those who did NaNo a previous year... Dare: Have one of your characters be reading a previous NaNo of yours. Double Dare: If this character is a huge fan of the book and always making references to it that no one else understands. ...I have a strange urge to do that one for some reason. XDDDDDD Ooh, and one for those of you who remember last year... Dare: Have a crazy character named Enesqu appear in your NaNo. Bonus: If it's the same Enesqu from last year's NaNo, and they make references to events that happened in the previous NaNo.
