Crappy computer..... Just about hit my quota for today and then my computer froze, so I had to restart and I hadn't saved it Only another 800 words to go again.... I'm sure it's not as good as what I wrote first time around though.

It's so funny how obvious it is that Rae and Justin are supposed to parallel me and Mike. XD

I definitely did not think that I'd be able to reach today's quota, but I'm actually doing really well. I'm not ahead of myself or anything, but I'm keeping up with everything. I should really put a lot of energy into this long weekend, though, so I can really give myself a comfort zone just in case I lose inspiration.

Anyways, word-wise, I've got a little over 9k. :3 Hopefully I can pass 10k later today.

Holy snap. Heart attack moment right there.

My formatting totally wonked out, and for several moments, it appeared as if I'd lost over 2,000 words. Then I clicked a few buttons and they showed up again, so I e-mailed myself my daily backup... which I loaded up to more totally wonked out formatting. Going "why the fail", I copied the document from RoughDraft into Microsoft Word... and nothing showed up. Nothing. @_@

So then I clicked a few more moments, and it finally showed up. Still, major freak out moment. ><; I have it saved in both word processors now, and in my e-mail (I resent it to myself in .doc format). Nano heart attack moments = D:

I just hit the 9k mark and the end of my first chapter simultaneously.

... I wonder how long my next chapter will be.

Yikes, I'm glad you didn't lose anything. That'd be a nightmare. If it had happened to me, I'd have been pretty panicked. >_<

I'm saving my writing to my hard drive and to an SD card as I go along, so I think I should be safe from moments like that. I'll save it to a portable hard drive too when the story starts getting longer. I'm a bit paranoid about keeping backups.

I'm keeping my story on my Flash drive and my hard drive but I still get heart attacks when Word has these little hiccups. Because for all the backups in the world, you never know what is going to happen.

Fingers crossed I will never have to use my backup.

Ugh, this drama of mine is so cheesy and repetitive, and I dunno if this plot is really going anywhere, and-- *stabs inner editor with a spork* ...'Kay, we're good! ^_x

As for backups, thankfully Nisus Writer has yet to hiccup on me ever, and my computer hasn't crashed in ages, so I think I'm pretty well safe... though I might want to make a backup or two just in case...
