I'm dry on ideas, and I might just pass on the NaNo this year since I've had a lot on my hands. But some friends of mine IRL are going for it; I might join in. *still deciding* Try a giant NTWF novel story. 8D It certainly helped me in my time of need. XD I need a little help just getting everything together. Since I'm basically writing four different stories, I need a little help getting the plots and characters organized. Any ideas?

That is, if they all sort of relate.

I'm also dry on ideas for a huge NTWF story. XDDDD I'm trying to stay away from fanfiction too.
Hmmm, I might continue my past NaNo novel. It was technically unfinished even when it hit the 50k. I ended it pretty abruptly. XD

I still can't decide whether or not to do it. I think I COULD, possibly, but would it be worth the time? Or the effort? Or the lack of sleep?

I still can't decide whether or not to do it. I think I COULD, possibly, but would it be worth the time? Or the effort? Or the lack of sleep? In a word? Yes. It is a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun, too, and I know it improved my writing ability a lot. I think you'll enjoy it, and all that time, effort, and sleeplessness will pay off when you have a nice, shiny, 50,000 word file on your computer =)

I'm on the fence for whether I should do this or not. On one hand it is a lot of fun and would be worth it but it is exam year for me and already it is stressful so I don't want to imagine what it would be like in November. Plus I would feel a complete failure if I didn't complete it which would be...bad. =/ I won't even mention all my other projects that I want/have to do...
Could any of you experienced NaNoers help me decide? ^^

I do understand where you're coming from; I'll be struggling for time a lot more this year than last...and overall, I'm busier as well. But the point of NaNo isn't really to get to 50K. Not really; the point is to get something written, to get some novel idea out of your head and on paper. Even if all you get are plot outlines and a few characters, it's something you wouldn't have had without at least attempting WriMo. So if exams prove too much *brandishes fist*, don't feel bad about it =) Whatever you'll have gotten done, fifty thousand words or ten, will be an accomplishment in-of itself. Azzie- Yay! Good luck ^^

So I was on the Nano forums, looking at interesting things, because, you know, a year's backlog of subjects holds some interesting stuff... when I clicked on a page and it was gone. So I got to sort of witness the site reset. =D On the plus side of this, though, I'm looking around the new features and it's a sign that it's really coming. I'm exited. It's all fresh and new. ;___; *didn't get to see this last year because she joined too late, of course*

I'm hoping they re-release the little graphs that had your avatar on them...but I do like the new participant images ^^ And the new way of doing past WriMos...looks neat!

Whee, NaNo.. Although I know there's a chance I'll end up stopping or not reaching the 50k.. this is my first quarter of college, so school comes first! But I do hope to push myself to get at least a really big chunk of writing done.
On Wednesday, it will only be a month away! I'm thinking about posting/ writing something on the cork/ whiteboard on my dorm door and seeing if I get any responses. I am in the Art/Music/Performing Arts dorm, full of creative people, so I figure there's a good chance of someone else at least being interested in doing it. Plus, if I broadcast to the whole dorm that I'm doing it, it should give me some motivation to get it done and prove that I could do it!
