Last year Kathkitty was all set to do it, keyed-up in October, excited, and then.. yes, that's right, she forgot.
This year, I'm hoping it's actually going to happen. =D
Uh, so okay. I actually have two ideas. One old-ish (like last year, I think), and one very newly inspired. I’ll post both here, but I’m very much leaning toward the second one, because I think I have a better chance with keeping it up.
This is an idea I've had for a while, but I haven't actually done anything with it because I was too busy, and, er, too afraid. xD
So. Setting would be a fantasyworld in the north. Old Norse-esque, I think. Steam-powered stuff. Trains. Sledges.
There's this circle (Immaterial Ice Circle, for lack of a better name right now is what the inhabitants of said imaginary world call it), and it regulates the space/time continuum. And that's about as far as I've gotten, it's still pretty hazy right now, but obviously something is going to happen. (I hope). I have two main characters, both seriously underdeveloped. Kitta (no last name yet), rich-kid type, has an unusual talent for pagomancy (ice divination/magic), and her cousin, Thoryn.
I am much more fond of this one, personally, though it just came to me about three days ago.
Genre: Fantasy/humour probably.
Still in the hazy stage, once again. Setting is a modern-day city in the U.S. of A, somewhere with lots of lights and pollution (I’m thinking L.A.).
A human kid was raised by his mother to see and believe in demons. He thinks his job given by some heavenly being is to eradicate any sign of them. He meets a demon-girl in a bar, decides to kill her, falls in love instead. She is evil, though, I think. I’m slightly unclear on that aspect.
Unfortunately, he’s not actually human, but half-angel, and he really is driven by divine right or whatever to kill demons. Hence some kind of awful conflict/struggle involving demons, werewolves, angels, humans, dirty city streets, vodka, love, teenage angst, and daggers. Fun. =D
Annoying (Kanza’s opinion) Russian orphan girl who’s in America illegally and immediately latches onto Kanza. She’ll follow him anywhere, and tries to kill demons.
Age: Seven
Personality: Sweet, bratty, charming, easily influenced, outgoing, loving.
Appearance: Snub nose, freckles, small mouth, missing one tooth, freckles, wide eyes, very pale blue. Fair skin. Small and skinny for her age.
Outfit (normal): T-shirt and jeans, both pink, bobbles in her hair.
Other main character. Demon-girl who Kanza meets and tries to kill. She’s bent on destroying Kanza and pretty much everything, actually. She seems entirely evil, but partly she’s misinformed and conceited.
Age: Two hundred sixty-three
Personality: Evil, conceited, vain, condescending, demanding, whiney.
Appearance: Tall.. uh, the general impression is of a chocolate brownie cut in a long strip, and please do not laugh. >.>; Very angular features, lots of wavy-ish hair.
Outfit (normal): Long white dress, golden bangles. She ditches the dress for pants when she has to fight.
Secondary character. French waitress who is also a selchie. She likes caramel lattes and enjoys chatting it up with Kanza, who doesn’t know what she is.
Age: Nineteen
Personality: Chatty, disdaining, cheerful, eager, helpful.
Appearance: Small features, almond-shaped blue-grey eyes, high cheekbones, narrow nose, short, wild hair she usually dyes pink but is naturally blonde.
Outfit (normal): Waitress clothes
Well, all the characters in this nutty idea came pre-named, so for that I am infinitely glad. xD I hate trying to think up names.
Anyway. Irony is one of those ‘tough girls’ I guess. She’s very into expressing her personality (which apparently requires blue-and-white-striped hair, dark, ragged clothes, and lots of silver bangles). She’s all for free-thinking and more freedom of expression. Cliché, I know, I know, but I do have a cool catch. =D She’s a werewolf! Yay!
She lives with her older brother (no name as of yet, hope he’s not important. >.> and her dad in an apartment. And a cat. I forgot the cat.
Age: Seventeen.
Personality: Tough, independent, free-thinking, sarcastic, protective.
Appearance: 5”4’ (I suppose she’s the only one whose height matters, since she’s the only one I can state specifically xD), hair cut slightly raggedly that hangs to mid-back if it’s not tied up (which it usually is). Does this funny thing with her eyebrows (which are really thin), that makes them look seriously unbalanced. Kanza thinks she’s very pretty in a ‘dangerous sort of way’.
Outfit (normal): Black leggings, black skirt, black jacket over a Jonathan Coulton shirt. (Ha, take that for wild and utterly awesome references. >D). Wears tons of silver decorations, part of her ‘stop the werewolf stereotype’ movement.
Expect full character sheets and the like eventually. I’m a big one for fleshing-out characters.

Ze Characters! (From idea #2):
Main character, protagonist. He was raised to see and believe in demons, and his mother taught him that it was his purpose in the world to help eradicate it of demons. He thinks he’s human, but actually he’s a bizarre combination of half-angel. He’s never known his dad, and his mom went crazy a couple of years ago.
Age: Seventeen.
Personality: Devoutly religious (you’ll see why this is a personality trait xD), fiercely loyal, blindly-stubborn/pigheaded, gracious, selfless.
Appearance: Half-Mexican (mother); round face, rounded baby-ish features, skin the colour of braised almonds. Big, dark eyes, slightly curly hair with gold highlights. Strong, determined look, slightly crooked mouth, straight teeth.
Outfit (normal: Jeans, button white t-shirt worn halfway unbuttoned to show the golden cross he wears as a necklace.
