Ahh, I'm falling behind! >_> I'm almost 6,000 words behind the quota for today. I simply haven't had time to work on this. School is insane.
I've only got 3 more days of school for the rest of November, though, so hopefully I can make up the slack. It depends on a lot of things.
Fortunately, the story is maintaining most of its momentum. I'm having a bit of trouble right now finding the balance between describing action and events and delving into emotion and inner conflict. Hopefully I can keep the elements in a good mediation.

Yesterday I wrote an absolutely horrid scene that didn't make any sense at all, and added onto some other stuff it made me really really depressed. But today I changed to the POV of my second character, skipped the descriptions that would have wrapped up that earlier scene, and moved on with the story. And know what? It's actually working. Yeah, I'll have to go back and fix that abomination eventually. But after pushing past it, I realized that the story wasn't lost because I messed up one time. I'm still painfully behind the word count I need, but I know I can finish this. NaNoWriMo has made me do things I would never consider normally, but they've all worked. If I can complete this novel, I will be changed forever. I really want this now. Only a couple days left. It's crunch time! 13,000 words in less than five days. *runs off*

I know exactly what you mean; I think everyone has that part where it's a hideous mess, but once they get past it, they can keep going. I know I certainly did.
You can do it, Craig. Good luck! ^_^

I've been feeling great for the past couple of days. ^_^ Things are really going smoothly. Just now I've hit the first slow spot in about three or four chapters. And it's not that bad, just something I have to figure out before I can keep writing.
I've got a little over 6,000 words to write before the end of the month. I think I can do this. I think I can, I think I can...

I think I'm one of the only people at the NTWF who has left this to the very last day. xD
It's now or never!

Go, Craig! You're almost there! Hey, I sort of left it to the last day, too. XD Well, I meant to finish it last night, but I ended up procrastinating for so long that in the end I went to bed. Then I woke up four hours later and locked myself in my room and didn't come out until I'd produced 7000 more words and written "The End".

Thanks guys. ^_^ I've got two chapters left to write, and I know exactly what's going to happen. I just have to get the words down. I know it's not going to be perfect, but it will be finished, and that's all that matters.
I'm so excited. I can taste it.

I won NaNoWriMo. The novel is called Not Forever, and it's done. This is the first non-Neopets story I have ever finished in my entire life. I've started dozens, but I have never completed even one of them. Until now. I can't believe it. There are parts of the story I don't like, and the whole concept isn't something I'd expect to see from me, but it doesn't matter. I'm proud of it. I finished it. I finished a novel. 139 pages. 51,980 words. 30 days. And now, it's over. I did it! ^_^
