I just tried submitting a comic now, but it said, "Your comic could not be uploaded. Please try again later." D: I hope it's just a temporary thing...?
Edit: Oh, the issue's this week, too? o__o Fudgecakes. I really should pay more attention to these things.... T_T *panics*

Well, if it seems like nobody else's comics have gotten acceptance letter yet, then just maybe... I remember one time when I submitted a comic quite close to a special issue and the next day I got both the held over and acceptance letter. So just maybe ^^;

Well, the acceptance letters are already flying out for those who got held-over. It's very, very rare for an acceptance to come within a few days of a held-over.
In short, it's still possible for us held-over-less people to get in, but only by a long shot. XD

Submitting today may be pushing it a bit - it might just be not quite enough. Certainly, I know that acceptances for stories have gone out, so it would be too late for them. You might just be able to scrape it with the comics, though, since there are quite a few in each issue and they don't take as long as a story to look over. Having said that, though, as Kat said it's possible, but not guaranteed that she'll even see it before the acceptances go out.
Admittedly, I am calling the kettle black here because I only submitted my short story last week for the Christmas issue, and that managed to scrape in. If you're going for a special issue, Droplet tends to be quite accommodating, providing you leave enough time for anything she needs to do. In general, though, submitting a good few weeks in advance is the best strategy if at all possible - if you put a note asking for it to go in a special issue, she's unlikely to put it in another.

I was expecting acceptance neomails for comics yesterday since they were finished on monday with the articles but it's gonna be today probably...or maybe tomorrow...I got once an acceptance neomail on thursday I think... Let's see...yesterday I was really nervous but it's gone today for some reason  |

since they were finished on monday with the articles You mean stories, not articles, right? I saw a lot of story acceptances on Monday, but I don't think article acceptances have gone out yet. (At least I hope they haven't. XD) |
