Well I looked at Droplets profile, and in her signature it said that the Halloween Issue was on October 24th.. which is pretty close, NT-Wise! =O So if anyone hasn't started yet, we should probably get going. ^_~
I just started an article for it like, half an hour ago of just wondering what to do. xD I am pretty excited for it, because if this gets accepted, this will end my NT-Hiatus, since my last publication was in May. x_o
Whats everyone else doing? =D

Hmm... it's odd that, given that Halloween falls on a Friday this year, the Halloween issue isn't going to be on it. I'm sure there must be a reason, but it seems a bit strange that that opportunity's being missed.
As for my Halloween piece, I've tried something new; a Meepit Show consisting of characters from other NT pieces (thanks to Christos, Celestial, Lou and Lupehunter for the donations), which I'll be submitting... probably in a minute or two, actually. But, if that doesn't get accepted, then I'll have Part Five of my series instead. So I've got something in Halloween, no matter what.

As soon as you told me, I got an idea for a Halloween-themed short story. =3 So thanks for telling us, Nova!
And I'd be guessing that since Halloween falls presicely on a Friday that day will probably be a vacation for TNT and there won't be any updates, so there can't be NT either.

Don't get me thinking about Halloween. >_> I really don't think I'm going to do anything for it this year, mainly because I want to concentrate on the series I'm working on. This series is really important to me, and I want to get it done while I still have time (and am still inspired) so I don't think I'm going to take any breaks to go and write Halloween stuff. But maybe, if I'm really lucky, I'll finish and submit the series before Halloween and it can appear in the issue anyway. xD Either way, I don't plan on writing a Halloween short story this year, unfortunately. Good luck to everyone with your preparations!

I guess that would make sense. The idea that you'd get Halloween off, though, seems a bit of an odd concept to me, since Halloween over here is nowhere near as big as it is in the US, certainly (and possibly Mexico as well, although I'm not so sure about that).

My question about cannibals in NT Staff Call has nothing whatsoever to do with the Halloween issue, not at all, no sir. :3
Hopefully will be finished by the end of the week. Good luck to all you guys with your stuff. ^_^

I should probably get started on that, but I already have a comic held over, and since they are numbered, if the Halloween issue comes before my current comic, it will go 1, 3, 2. I guess I can include a note to Droplet to change it if that happens...

Oh, I don't get it off. But TNT is on the US, right? As far as I know Neo goes by the US holiday calendar. So I imagined maybe they do? But I don't really know. I'm guessing. ^^; And as a side note, while some people do celebrate Halloween here, our important national tradition is actually Day of the Dead, and that's on November 1st and 2nd.

My guess is why Droplet said he Halloween Issue is a week before Halloween is because on Halloween, most kids/teens are out doing parties/trick-or-treating (depending on timezones) etc. etc. but yeah. She usually does release things before the holiday itself, so in a way, makes sense.

Droplet may be making the Halloween issue the week before because that way some are allowed to spill over, as with series. Oh, and could I get a little help with this excerpt of my story? I apologize if the spoiler thing doesn't work, because I don't know what I'm doing GL to everyone Proceeding towards the boisterous Neopets, he watched with wary eyes. The ones farthest from the tower edged backwards, afraid of the fearsome appearance of the Grarrl guard approaching them. Then, Galgarrath stopped in amazement. They weren’t retreating. They were forming a path! The Darigans split to either side of the door, compressing themselves together. Out of the abyss of Neopets walked a single Cybunny. One that Galgarrath had only heard mentioned in frightening stories of the Haunted Woods. Mistress Haunt, the creature of nightmares, confidently walked forward. The Halloween Neopet seemed to radiate confidence, making all that were near her follow without asking why. Her collar of fur was pitch black, with maroon colored hearts decorating it. Unlike normal Halloween Cybunnies, her fur was a red color, and her feet were shadows underneath her. None of these were the most frightening, though. The scariest attribute of Mistress Haunt was her eyes. They were the most brilliant pink in Neopia, even brighter than those of Queen Fyora. Within them, you could see the reflection of your very soul, and never once would you question what you saw. It disconcerted Galgarrath that an evil creature such as her would be blessed with such a glimmering gaze.

I already sent my story in for the Halloween issue, just to make sure she'd have time to read it and decide before the time came around. I sent it in yesterday I believe, before I read this and saw that the issue was going to be on the 24th, just to make sure that I didn't forget to.
It's a short story that goes along with my current "The Fallen" saga about my Werelupe, Javiod. It's basically the continuation of his story, but it occurs on Halloween night. I don't want to give anything away, though, so that's all I'm going to say about it. I hope it gets in! :3
