His roundhouse kick connected to Evandra, Cat Assassin turned around as the woman quickly reaffirmed her grip. Her weapon had been changed to a sword when he was able to see her clearly.
"Believe me, I have something sharper."
Looking to retaliate for the cat's kick, the woman charged towards Cat Assassin, letting out a series of slashes towards him. Had it been a normal sword, he would've tried to snatch the sword away from her, but something told him that he must not touch the weapon. Constantly, he kept his distance, wisely knowing that a weapon as long as that could keep him from landing any clean hits.
Still, the cat made it a point to continue his mind games. "It's like chasing a veteran cat, lass. You just can't catch it," he chuckled, hiding the fact that unless the human either stops her barrage or leaves an opening for him, he would have to wait.

"Cele! The doors are open! We should go and look for whoever Cat Assassin's looking for first!" Kat shouted to her and Celestial felt a little silly for assuming otherwise. Flying towards the doors she flapped her wings for extra speed and folded them just as she flew through the door. Aside from a few scapes to the wing, there was no damage.
She decided not to stray too far from the entrance until Kat was there with her. Celestial was not keen on combing through the whole cavern looking for whoever Cat Assasin was looking for. Instead, it was better to let her dragon side use her hunting instincts.
Dropping down on all fours, Celestial immediately became more draconic. Her leg structure changed into the legs of a purple dragon and she crouched on all fours, sniffing the air for anything resembling her quarry. There was only a vague knowledge of Cylak in her mind but dragons could hunt shadows if forced. However before setting off on the hunt, Celestial waited for Kat. The hunt could not begin before all those involved were present.

Omni walked toward the exit of the kitchen, bringing her device with her. "I'm going to check out Ikkin's office and such, see if I can find anything. Anyone who wants to come with is welcome to; I could use some help looking." She just hoped that this was soon enough after what she said before that she didn't have to explain what she was talking about. She was a bit tired of that happening, even if she hadn't done it yet that particular day.

As she listened to the Leader's conversation with the prisoner, Lireo couldn't help but either roll her eyes or snicker quietly to herself. When the Leader asked Cylak to join the Mageri, that's when Lireo started thinking.
That filth to join the Mageri, eh? The lightning-user snickered discreetly. Hmph. Well, I suppose she could. Then, we could just use one of Marthae's potions to change the prisoner to human and no longer a cow . . . thing. Kinda like those other illegals who joined us and were changed to humans That way, the prisoner would truly be one of us, and we would use her powers for our own ends! Yeesh, now I'm starting to sound like the old hag herself . . .
"Do please open the door for me?"
Lireo snapped out of her thoughts. With a small, respectful bow to the Leader, Lireo proceeded to open the door.
((XDDDD Okay, now I don't know what to post. What's going on where Nature is?))

"It's like chasing a veteran cat, lass. You just can't catch it."
Evandra gritted her teeth. She had to admit, he was right. The cat ninja was moving fast...well, like any normal human ninja. But she still had magic; this creature had yet to show her any skill in the mystical arts.
She pointed her sword down, and a gossamer strand of silver snaked down and toward the cat's feet, binding his ankles. Eventually, he would trip, and the Mageri would be all over him like a big catch. The fire mage and the dragon had gone, managing to evade the rest of the Mageri. Castor hurled his spear at the only truly human intruder - at least, he was sure she was human - when she flew by on her flaming wings, but a quick purple fireball reduced the weapon to ash.
"Cat Assassin!" the mage called out. "Let's go! We have to find her!"
Her?
Surely they meant the cow.
"Stop them!" Evandra cried, pointing at the dragon and her pyromaniac friend. "I'll capture the cat!"

"Hi, Lireo," said Althius, waving at her sheepishly when she opened the door. "I assume this is the - "
He paused. Not too far away was the Leader - and it seemed that he had already captured the prisoner.
"Sir!" Althius called out. "Sir, Mundus and I...we bring news."

"Sir, Mundus and I...we bring news."
We!? Mundus thought, but let it slide for now. "Sir, there are two illegals in the Hall. A dragon mage and a cat ninja. I believe there are more coming, as my compass gave me a short glimpse inside Mage Manor, and both mages and ninjas were there. I could not see any of them clearly, and it did not last very long, as the Manor's defenses were too strong. But I hope this information was useful."

"Cat Assassin! Let's go! We have to find her!"
The cat turned around, looking at the one who mentioned his name. "I guess we should. This isn't any challe-"
As if right on that moment, a slither of silver caught his ankles to the ground, tripping Cat Assassin over. The feline let out an angry cat hiss; he realized just then that the woman he was "battling" with had slipped an underhanded trick.
"Stop them! I'll capture the cat!"
Cat Assassin pulled from his coat the thing he was supposed to show to the Mageri earlier: a copy of the picture he gave to Hunter a while ago. He forced some of his energy on the photo itself so it would harden into something he could throw, and swiftly flicked his hand to send it flying near Kat. "She's the one in the middle. The one with the blue shirt. I'll keep them busy, you go after Cylak!" he shouted out, knowing that time would not let him get loose without getting the two mages caught by the Mageri.
Seeing some of the Mageri give chase towards the two, Cat Assassin forced more of his energy out to his hands, creating a high wall that stood between them and the doors where the mages had gone through. "If you want to get them, you'll have to go through me first," he breathed out.

Celestial was getting tired of waiting. She looked back into the door for Kat just in time to see Evandra knock Cat Assasin over. The hunt was post phoned, for now. Celestial's human side took control again. Seeing the photo that Cat Assasin threw at them, she caught it and looked.
"She's the one in the middle. The one with the blue shirt. I'll keep them busy, you go after Cylak!" Cat Assasin shouted at them. For once, Celestial decided to listen to him.
"Kat, lets hurry!" she shouted to the purple Mage. However she would not leave Cat Assasin here alone. A wall of fire rose between him and the Mageri, temporary protection but she hoped it would be enough.

"Right," said Kat. "I do hope Cat Assassin gets out of there too...there's an awful lot of Mageri in that room. Her wings disappeared with a small pop, and she landed neatly on the floor - well, almost neatly.
Back in the Hall, Evandra swore loudly. They lost the dragon and the human, but at least the cat was still around. They would need only him to get the other two.
She began to recite a spell that made the silvery ribbon around the ninja's feet tighten and grow, wrapping itself around his legs as well. The spell had been cast; no wall of fire would stop it.
"Someone get rid of the fire!" Evandra ordered. "I've got him!"

"Althius! Mundus! You're just in time to join us for lunch," said the Leader, stretching his arms out before them as though hoping to embrace his two followers. "It's good that you found me..."
"Yeah. What he said," Althius added quickly, shrugging. "Wasn't Mage Manor that place on your map, sir? Where you said the illegals - "
The Leader shushed the two of them. "Yes. Thank you both." Turning back to Cylak, he asked gently, "A dragon and a cat have found us. Would you happen to know either of them?"

"Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot..." was all Cat Assassin could think of when the invisible force around his feet tightened its coil; he could even feel his legs writhing in pain. His limbs were his most important assets of his body, and with at least two of them immobilized he was reduced to half of his capabilities.
Cat Assassin knew a wall of fire could be easily distinguished. He needed to have a better protection if he would have to keep himself from being killed. Focusing both his hands (which were the only limbs left he could use right then), the cat aimed to unleash a wall of pure energy that would leave him invulnerable for quite awhile.
"Signum Sanctuary!"
--------------------------------
"A dragon and a cat have found us. Would you happen to know either of them?"
"Cat Assassin!" Cylak shouted in worry. She had almost forgotten about him; the cat must've tracked her here somehow. "Please mister, don't do anything bad to him. He's my friend!"
"Oh darn right he shouldn't," Regna gritted his ethereal teeth in anger. "Cat Assassin rarely gets caught in any situation... I wonder if there's more of these humans out there."

"Wait, Omni!" PFA called out, following after the Zafara. "Um, you said something about learning spells?"
The ninja paused awkwardly. She had been doing pretty good learning how to use her new magic on her own, but if an actual mage would be willing to help her, it would likely help her a lot. But Omni, PFA realized, hadn't known of PFA's new abilities, unless the Zafara had payed particular attention during the Guilds War. How to go about saying this...
"Well, I was just wondering if... um... you see, I... well... I've kinda got this... uh, I've been trying to learn this magic kind of thing... and well..."
PFA mentally kicked herself as her voice trailed off. She had never been very good at these kinds of things.

Celestial dived out of the way as Kat came sailing in, performing her controlled crash magnificently. Sighing, she picked Kat up off the floor, running a quick healing spell just in case she was hurt.
"Come on, we need to get going" she said, taking out the photo of Cylak. She looked at it, concentrating on the girl in the centre wearing a blue shirt but try as she might she could not think of anything. No spell to even find her. Unless...
"Kat, do you know a tracking spell at all?" she asked, desperation in her voice. Celestial looked back at Cat Assasin, praying to the Founders of the Draconis order than he will be alright.

"Kat, do you know a tracking spell at all?"
"I do! But I can't cast it unless I know Cylak's aura! And thanks, I'm not really hurt...just a little shaken up." Kat grinned crookedly and reached out towards the photo. "Wait, if we're lucky, some of her aura may be on the photo somehow..."
She paused, and her smile faded. "But then I have no way of telling if it's hers or not, since I've never met Cylak. Urgh, I feel so useless."
* * *
"Please mister, don't do anything bad to him. He's my friend!"
"No, no," said the Leader. "I promise, we won't do anything bad to him or any of his comrades. Trust me. In fact, we might even ask them to join us in our quest for knowledge and world peace..."
He leaned closer to Mundus and Althius. "Althius, quiet. Find Mage Manor. Take two or three friends with you. We will deal with the situation here, understood?"
* * *
"He's capable of magic!" cried Evandra. Distracted, she lost concentration and the spell was ended too early. How dare those illegals...dabbling in arts only pure humans had the right to...
"You all know what to do, get him!" she screeched. Castor and Pollux were pushed forward first, with spears as their only weapons.

"Try as you might, my Signum Sanctuary won't be penetrated," bragged Cat Assassin. He could tell that the girl who pulled him down with the magical strings had lost her focus, letting his legs free. Safe from the clutches of weapons around him, Cat Assassin took the time to check on his legs; they seemed pretty fine for him.
Cat Assassin stood up and smirked as two humans poked the wall with little penetration whatsoever. "You backward humans. What do you mean by me being capable of being magic? My ancestors were the foundation of magic, and you blunt-eared fools just stole it from us for your own sake! It's the same reason the lot of you ceased to exist in my world," he cried out, very angry that the history of man's abuse towards his kind was beginning all over again with Cylak's capture.
"If you think all of you can outnumber me, I'm prepared to take you all on. I'll show you what an Animalia is truly capable of," he breathed out.

"Althius, quiet. Find Mage Manor. Take two or three friends with you. We will deal with the situation here, understood?"
"The fastest way to the Manor is through my teleportation, but it will still take some time, as I don't know how close I can get to the Manor's defenses." Mundus turned to Althius, "Althius, who do you think would be helpful to bring along?"
((Okay, Hunter is just sitting at the Manor waiting for Doomsday because Jakie hasn't posted yet. What should I do?))
