Okay, so I was talking to Craig, and it turns out that he types with 2 spaces after each sentence, and that's how he learned it. And I type with only one space after each sentence, and that's how I learned it . So, I decided to see which is more popular . This is where this poll belongs... right? xP EDIT: Inconsistent spaces mean you type with one space AND two spaces pretty equally. Like if you type with 2 spaces all the time, but you made a typo once, it still counts as 2 spaces If you pick option 4, I'm gonna hit you with my trusty uber-carmel apple... in your hair :K BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! But seriously, why would you pick that? xP

I was always taught to leave two spaces between each sentence, but it seems like more people only leave one. I, however, refuse to follow the crowd!

Two, I always try to use two. However, Proboards displays it as a single space anyway (probably for mid-sentence double-space typos, or to prevent space spam, or something), so it can be hard to tell.

Ahh, that's interesting. I've always thought it was all one until a few days ago xP.
And hmm, I put periods after my smileys, but you all put them before... xP

Fam already pointed it out, but I use two. I think we learned that in English, or Computers, or something... D: I don't remember. But I've always done it that way. I've been exposed to both styles though.

It used to be common practice to put two spaces after a sentence. It was considered the proper way to type.
Nowadays it's back to one.
I would stick with one unless I was writing something formal, then I'd move to two spaces. My tech writing teacher last summer, though, said that while that used to be common practice, it isn't any longer and it's now considered proper to stick with one.

One.
I've learned to despise people who type with two spaces, because I have to go through and delete them in order to put them in the paper. And that's a waste of my time. >.>

Also, I'm going to go ahead and move this to Editor's Mark. Seems to fit in there more than here...

I've heard of two spaces but I've never done it. It seems like it would be impossible to change the habit now.
