It makes the accuracy for each of the Pokemon's moves rise a little. Hypnosis isn't all that accurate, so getting a Wide Lens would make Hypnosis hit more often. I almost never miss with Hypnosis, though. but I don't have that item anyway. XD Lucky, I almost always miss. XD;

As soon as you switch out, Mean Look's effect ends. Ah. That's annoying. Mean Look + Hypnosis then switch? Or does he only sleep for one turn? What about some sort of Baton Pass? I'm pretty sure that keeps Mean Look working...

And making Shadow Ball a special attack helped.
