Hey, Kit, you might know this.
Say there's a computer network here at the office I work in and there's a program that is loaded onto the main computer, but we want access to on the others as well. Considering the data gets updated in it often, in the past I've just copied everything over onto a flashdrive and loaded it on the other computers (since they're laptops and go home with my boss). (and yes, it's a simple homebrew kind of program that you can do that with)
IF I made the program folder shared across the network... do you know of anyway to set something up to automatically update that program on the laptop?
To simplify, all I want is to give my boss's laptop a shortcut that he can click on that'll simply copy the information from our main computer onto a folder in his and nothing else. He'll then be able to access the program from his own computer (with up-to-date info) without having to be around the network...
