You're in the pit?! I LOVE playing in the pit! What instrument? Which musical? Is this your first time? Yep. xD 'S called The First Five Years, and I play violin. xD You play? I LOVE Jason Robert Brown! And I am also a violinist, and get this - I played the violin part for that musical last year :3 It was a charity event at the highschool, but we had to figure the part out by ear... Tell me, does that show use a quartet or is it just a violin and a cello? Because there were some parts where I was pulling out some crazy double-stops. :/ Edit: I do believe you have just become my new best friend, Kathleen :3 |

That's like dueling on the mast of storm-tossed ship with one hand behind your back x3 And happy birthday to your sister ^^ *continues grumbling about counting inabilities* >.>; Somehow I don't think that's why I'm losing my duels, though. xDD But I really like that analogy. I shall tell her. ^^ She will feel special, all these internet people wishing her happy birthday. xD |

And I am also a violinist, and get this - I played the violin part for that musical last year :3 It was a charity event at the highschool, but we had to figure the part out by ear... Tell me, does that show use a quartet or is it just a violin and a cello? Evil. >.> Oh but JR Brown wrote some beautiful solos for the violin - I especially love "Good bye Until Tomorrow/I Could Never Rescue You" :3 It tapers off at the end and the audience will be left entranced by your playing <3 I wouldn't be too worried about learning all that music though  I don't think they'd simplify the music, but you'll be rehearsing enough to know it by heart by the end, I'm sure ^_^ And you must be a good player to have gotten the only violin part to that musical. ^_^ |

The Kreutzer Sonata is beautiful <3 I haven't gotten around to playing it yet, and I just started working on a concerto so not too much room this summer (yet again). |
