"Doubtful that she'd send a backup for me," was the first thing that entered the Zafara's mind when she heard the man's explanation. "Still, if that's really her order, there's nothing I can do."
The Zafara started pulling her kunai back. "The name's Laine," she introduced herself. "Don Hunty's personal assassin."

My apologies, Laine, for the confusion that may have occured

((Wait, a question. If somebody goes to a building in stage 1 but posts no move for stage 2, does that mean that they'll be defending that building? Or are they considered to have disappeared temporarily?)) Disappeared without a trace. Or zey'd have gotten orders from ze Don to lay low. Only attacks or defences declared for a stage is counted

Don Hunty - Stage 2 - Attack Car Shop
Nova looked around in Tabloid Town, he was wearing casual clothes, a cap turned backwards, a red t-shirt and blue jeans with white shoes. His hands in his pockets, holding his silver pistol, he looked around. "Hunty, Hunty Hunty Hunty." He said to himself, quietly. "Sending me on a mission to The Forum Gates on a mission. Well, good for her that Carrie's reinforcements from there won't be coming anytime soon. She made me skip the entire party, I couldn't say a word... dang. I was hoping to mingle more with Kat and learn more about this mission. And now that I'm back, looks like there's a turf war. Fun... looks like the Car Shop could use a hand or two."

BREAKING NEWS!
If you thought yesterday was bad wait till you get a load of this!
City police were called in yesterday after reports of gunfire and explosions around the Car Shop, just one of the many known fronts for one of the city's crime lords. Our correspondents on the field described the attack as 'brutal' and that they 'never stood a chance' throughout the hour long gunfight. When police finally managed to summon backup the skirmish had ended, leaving them with nothing more than reports to file and still-warm shells to sweep off the streets. In a feat of great mob efficiency, the Car Shop was soon back in business again, this time under new management of course. Rumoured to be Don Hunty by our correspondents but we all know how rumours go.
Coordination seems to be the hallmark of the mob for a similar raid was also carried out on the Pizzeria downtown. A late night customer who wishes to remain anonymous reported a couple of mobsters harassing the night shift. We've also heard reports of explosions but upon checking found nothing amiss. Of course we did notice the few individuals with links to Don Hunty hanging around their new turf.
On the other side of town we see the face of cold efficiency. As if in retaliation from the night before, Don Carrie's mobsters were reported to have been involved in a firefight at the Butcher's. With odds of 2 to 1, the outcome was predictable and it was over in mere minutes. A brief examination after the dust had settled revealed nothing out of the ordinary. One has to marvel at the speed at which they patched up all those bullet holes. As with the previous incident, the boys in blue were nowhere to be seen, having had to deal with the carnage elsewhere.
In a separate incident at the Pet Shop, Don Carrie's mob seems to have gained a valuable ally who effortlessly turned the management over to the Carrie's and left nothing but a note. We've managed to procure a copy but it was left cleverly vague: "It's all yours, Don Carrie. Signed, AoC". One can only speculate how this 'AoC' can influence events in the coming days.
One thing we can be certain of though: our fair city is on the brink of all out war and we're stuck in the middle waiting for the ball to drop. Here's hoping it drops on our very hard working police force.

A familiar illusion surrounded the Car Shop. As the blurry image slowed down, Laine emerged out of it.
"I guess they'll be attacking other places," she smirked. "I'll need to... stay here," she added.
A maniacal laugh echoed around the Car Shop.

[glow=red,2,300]Rider exited with her slice of now-friendly pizza, smiling with all the joy of a child on Christmas. Her hands were completely clean, and her gun still cold and unused in her purse. Appearances could decieve.
Speaking of appearances, now she felt like getting a haircut.

A dark street at night, a hitman walking alone. An audible click behind his ear. A cold female voice.
"You have made a fool of me and a mess of the don's plans. Now the don don't like her plans getting messed up, Amneiger. I'll have my dough back, and heck if that's all I'm getting."

Stage three - attack - Movie Theatre
Still savouring the taste of pizza, Kathleen slunk back into the streets. There was a faint grin on her face, and her pistol was slightly warm. She fancied a nice rest in a movie theatre seat. They were always padded, and even better, they showed moving pictures while you rested. Or did other things.

Somehow, after the battle at the Car Shop, Lupehunter had gotten a cold. He knew it was going to take a long time to get to his home to pick up the cold medicine, but there was another place that he could go to get some, and it was really close. All the better for Don Hunty. Stage 3:Don Hunty- Attack Pharmacy

Patience was, undeniably enough given the current wave of attention to other areas, a virtue.
"Captain, make sure we don't run out of pizza. Remember: casual is key. Think naive neutrals who could easily be swayed into this mob war as expendable resources." Techy was now busy rebuilding, disassemlbing, and then re-rebuilding a computer to pass the time. Arcadia played -- or rather mutated -- the plants, and Clockwork messed around a bit with time. He kept vanishing for a split second, and re-appearing with several random trinkets.

The Tabloid Tabloids
LATE BREAKING NEWS!
And even more chaos in the news. Our correspondent in the field somehow managed to slip up and neglect to mention a certain argument at the Movie Theatre. Probably because shots weren't exchanged and it was pretty subdued. Or they were using silencers. A quick check on the premises shows nothing amiss.
