so here's my plan I have two (one for backup) and both have to do with my webcomic-in-planning. Railinnon. A world divided, often under threat from the mysterious and evil Kurone, populated by nine humanoid races. Into this world is born Kadior, a half-Calderi. He and his father, who is a true Calderi, are always on the move, never staying in the same place for long, but Kadior is content. One fateful evening, the village where they are staying is attacked. Kadior's father is killed, but not before giving him a small blue stone with instructions to take it to mysterious allies in the sky-city of Srain. Kadior searches for revenge; one year later, still searching, he loses his way in the forest of Kilanek and meets a girl named Elycien, one of the reclusive Thirecat race. He stays with her and her sister Setra the night, and then she leads him out of the forest. However, the Kurone strike. Elcie's sister is kidnapped. With nothing left for her in the forest, she insists on coming with Kadior and joining his search for the Kurone, and he is forced to agree. Now, as the two of them travel Railinnon, a simple quest becomes connected to much deeper mysteries as both Elcie and Kadior unravel the mysteries surrounding their parents, and as Setra befriends an unusual Kurone princess named Avasa... Hopefully not too cliche. XD I've been worrying about that a lot. But nothing is set, so yay. I'll post world info next. And my other idea. ^_^

[glow=red,2,300]Oooh, no, and I like the names you choose. ^_^ Following the fine fantasy tradition of making a string of names sound like sparkly gibberish. I know what a Thirecat is, but what's a Calderi?[/glow]

They're more or less elementally aligned and originate in one of the various regions in Railinnon. ^_^ ...I started out with seven. Then the Kurone snuck in. When I finally decided that Thirecats should be from Railinnon, too, that made nine. XD Hopefully no more will show up, since nine is a nice number...

Well, about the races...
There are far more than just nine sentient races, but only nine are classified as Railin... and Thirecats are Railin only in the vaguest sense of the word.
There were originally seven, each with an elemental alignment. Light, Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Ice, and Spirit. Later on the Kurone were born, the race of darkness. Even later than they, the Thirecats came into being, the only race with no single element.
Styrri - the Light race. They live among the stars in the city of Styrra and are by far the most reclusive and mysterious of the nine. At the "present day" they no longer really appear to earthbound Railin. Kyrinean - the Water race. They live deep beneath the sea of Kyrine and are most suited to aquatic environments, although they can venture onto land for short periods of time. Sraina - the Air race. Very intellectual. The ancestors of the Kurone were among them. Although they prefer to live in the air, they appear on the ground enough that they have not faded into legend like the Styrri. Most of them reside in the floating city of Srain. Calderi - the Fire race. Skilled blacksmiths and craftsmen, and some of them retain their race's ancient skill in battle. They are from the volcanic mountains of Calden. Sylni - the Earth race. Very peaceful and friendly forest-dwellers, most of whom live in Sylna. They are a lot more widespread than some of the other races. Skilled in the magic arts. Syrilin - the Ice race from the northern mountains of Syril. They have a very tightly-knit culture, and few of them leave the mountains. It's also rare for other Railin to visit them, due to their harsh environment which most others are not used to. Kirilian - the Spirit race. Many live in the desert of Kirilia in numerous nomadic tribes. Like Sylni, magic features heavily in their culture. Kurone - the Dark race. A traditionally brutal race, they are the main reason why the element of Darkness is associated with the powers of evil. There's some truth to that, indeed, but it's not universal, as proven by Avasa and Elycien.
More to come x3
