... I want to start over.
I'm really seriously considering putting in some sort of lame sudden transition and writing a whole new novel in the middle of this one, then cutting it out as a stand-alone later...
But I'm supposed to be sticking with this one...

I would NOT recommend starting over, as far as you've gotten. No, no, no, but I would suggest that you write your charecters into insanity, change them completely, and add in chocolate-banana pudding. But don't start over. Not completely. But you can change some things around...if you catch my drift.

I'm probably not going to be able to varify my wordcount anyway (I ended up writing most of what I have at the moment by hand >_>) but at one point when my plot was boring me to death... I... um... *twiddles thumbs* I had my main character try to write a novel. It used up a few thousand words before I got interested in my original plot again and the poor guy finally gave up on his novel

Thanks so much for the suggestions, guys. ^_^ Ebil, that's a good idea... if I ever get desperate, I have plans for making my main character read a book. XD
Echo - Yeah, I could try that in a pinch. XD I know the perfect death -- a peaceful one in the character's own bed! =D That'll be full of long slow moments! ... I'll describe the regularity of his breathing! XD
Anyway, I got my drive back today, it seems (it comes and it goes; I just hope it comes during the final week of NaNo so I can finish this), and reached 25k. ^^ Once again, I am 6k behind... but hopefully I can catch up even more than that tomorrow.

I'm going to do this. I'm not going to start over. I'm going to finish this novel. I'm going to get 50,000 words. I already have 38k. I'm going to write several thousand words a day till I reach that goal. I've already written about 4k a day for the past three days. I'm going to do this. --- Oh, and I found a fun graph thing! It's the first one I've found that I can actually understand! ^^

42,000 words.
The end is in sight. @___@
Too many subplots popping up... I don't know how I'll wrap this up in 8,000 more words. Rushed ending, coming up. XD

Thank you! ;D I'm not sure what to think now. I've just written this long (not completely sensible) story, and now I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to read it again, and I'm hoping I can rework some of the concepts into something usable later.
