Dare: Reveal somewhere in your story that the main villain is actually the main character's father. Bonus Points: Make the main hero scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" upon discovering this fact. Double Bonus Points: Make the main villain scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" somewhere else in the story. AMAZING coincidence. That was the main plot twist in my first ever attempt at a novel, aged nine years old. *coughitwasinnowayrippedoffstarwarscough*

*came up with another dare a moment ago*
Dare: Have one of your characters randomly burst into song. Bonus points: If the other characters join in. More bonus points: If it's some really obscure song that not many people know, yet the other characters know it. Ubermega bonus points: If the song is something the character came up with on a whim and the other characters still know it. Extremeuberpwnsome bonus points: If it's at some really serious point in the story, like a fight scene or something. Winnage-of-the-world bonus points: If the antagonist(s) join in. ;D
*quite possibly went overboard with the bonus points*

If you come up with a dare, but you're not participating in NaNo, then can you still post the dare?

Dare: Reveal somewhere in your story that the main villain is actually the main character's father. Bonus Points: Make the main hero scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" upon discovering this fact. Double Bonus Points: Make the main villain scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" somewhere else in the story. Well, I'll sort of do this... XD I'm going to make a reference to Star Wars because I just realized that one of the character's name is a main character Star Wars. XD

Dare: Make a reference to Charlie the Emo Unicorn Double Points: Have one of your characters say, "We're going to Candy Mountain, Chaaaaarlieeeee!" (+2 if this works because your character's name IS Charlie) Infinity Points: Have a character sing the Candy Mountain song (the one that the letter Y sings). YAY!

I'll think up a dare or two later... But for now: Dare: Include the line "No soap. Radio." in your story. Bonus Points: If the line makes actual sense. Can I change the punctuation? Dare: Use this conversation somewhere in your story character1 (trying to act tough): "I OWN this town!" character2: "You bought the town!??" - Bonus points: if the character actually DID buy the town. Double points: if that ends the plot. Does it still apply if I paraphrase but keep the general meaning the same?

Thought up a bunch last night.
Dare: Have a character break the fourth wall. Bonus points: If the fact that the fourth wall was broken is then mentioned. Double bonus points: If someone later goes to fix the fourth wall. Double total points: If the one to fix the fourth wall is also the one who broke it.
Dare: Have a character mention stories where characters break the fourth wall as part of a conversation. Double points: Have someone then say something along the lines of 'can you imagine what our life would be like if it was just a written story?'
Dare: Have a character say "You want me to do what now?" Double points: If that starts a scene. Triple points: If at the end of the previous scene someone says 'but where are we going to find someone to do that?' and/or whatever-is-going-to-be-done is explained to the readers as it's explained to the other character.
Dare: Give one of the characters a double (not-necessarily evil) at some point in the story. Bonus points: If it's hard to tell who the double is, even to the reader. Double bonus points: If the double isn't trying to confuse anyone, but actually believes themself to be the original.

Dare: Make lots of mentions to having to go to the bathroom. ...I just wrote a scene where all of the characters end up going to the bathroom. Does that count? Oh, and I have officially made "Chet Flash wuz here" etched into a prison wall. Mwahaha, crook!Chet Flash.

Does it still apply if I paraphrase but keep the general meaning the same? That depends on how different your paraphrasing is XD I guess it still counts, as long as the punchline is the same.

Dare: Have some spiffed-up, hollywood-esque scene and reference MythBusters. Extra credit (does not count toward dare points): If you can name a related myth as it was called on MythBusters, and tell what the result/verdict was.
