Besides "Kiss the Mortog" being a parody of a popular children's fairy tale, I think kissing Mortogs is allowed because they are pets...not humanoids. Kissing and showing affection for your pets is allowed. Showing intimacy between 2 humanoids is not alright. But they may become more allowing of it in the future, just as they allowed more adult and violent content in The Tale of Woe. It's just like the Harry Potter series: Harry grew up into the adult world, and Neopets is growing up as well. On the newest plot...there has to be something more than the steering wheel, right? Like a "to be continued" thing as with previous plot pieces. *sigh* What? I this was a plot board. I guess I went to the wrong place. Yeah, this is a plot board. ^^ We just get on tangents in plot boards sometimes when people are done with the current part of the plot. Though it's not nearly as bad now as it was in earlier plots. XD Like the Battle for Meridell, which ended up with discussions about whether or not Kass was a communist.  So, yeah. If you want to talk about the plot, do it here. But don't mind the random tangents, either. ^^; |

Er, did you read only the last post for some reason, or are you being sarcastic? A plot board is for discussing the plot. That means the story being told, not just the puzzles and battles or whatever participatory elements. And since it's a writers' forum, discussing the implications of TNT's plot choices on what the rest of us might end up writing is also unsurprising. |

I started the find-stuff-in-the-maze-and-fix-the-ship thing half an hour ago and now I'm done... nothing else, is there? Guess I'll just sit around and wait... while analyzing the 'shipping implications of various plot comic elements >=)

Well, Im glad that they might let some new stuff into neopets (like dateing) I just hope they wont go to far.

I have finished my plot step. It was a little glitchy at first and I couldn't take the second path away from the boat, but they fixed it later on. I also loved the panel in the comic where they talk about the size of the bugs.  |

I started and finished the plot today. I am officially up to date. I didn't get to fight any monsters, (  ) But I hope that doesn't count against me too much when the prizes come out. At least I'll get a trophy even if it is a wimpy one. |

Got my first win on this set of petpets. I was really expecting their weapons to do more, but with 235 hp, they'll likely get tough quick.  Just a warning, they can freeze you one turn, so defenses may not be enough here... Edit: Seems they have drain life too, as well as a full healer and full blocker. Now I see why the difficulty is high... |

I mean, have you read any of those old Neopedia articles? I remember there was one involving a blood or soul sacrifice or something of the sort. Also, Neo isn't growing up like HP. The Potter series can get away with the "growing up" of themes in its books: the series has an end. Book 7, then it's done. You can't have a virtual world simply grow more adult. At what point would they have to stop? When stuff becomes rated R? It probably only feels like the site is 'maturing' because the latest plot comic's style looks more like a comic book and less like a coloring-book. Eh, and I seriously doubt this plot will change the allowed relationships on Neo. TNT has said that they get away with plot stuff because it's controllable. It isn't as controllable in the user's realm, and Neo doesn't want to deal with any of it. After all, if they allow dating and kissing, is same-sex dating and kissing allowed? Won't that get parents up in arms? Why in Fyora's green Neopia would TNT ever open that can of worms?? |
