Protect is annoying, yeah, but it works well with stallers like Ninjask or sweepers like Yanmega. I'm using those examples because they can get a free speed boost.

Doesn't Brick Break go through even Protect? Or is that only in Explorers of Time/Darkness?

I like protect...just not having it used on me. On a completely unrealted topic, what's the difference between Emerald and Ruby/Sapphire? I hear it's an alternate retelling of the other two games but I'm not sure.

Emerald allows you to catch both Groundon and Kyrogue, you fight both Magma and Aqua, and there's the battle Frontier.

If you're familiar with Silver/Gold and Crystal, or Red/Blue and Yellow, I think it's safe to assume Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald is a similar duology/special edition.

Brick Break only goes through Reflect and Light Screen I believe. *has never heard of the move before* Then why isn't it called, like, "Light Break", or "Prism Shatter", or something if it only goes through Reflect and Light Screen? One of my favorite moves is Payday. It's especially helpful in Yellow where the Missingno. glitch has been fixed(No infinite Master Balls T_T) and the only trainers you can battle multiple times is the Elite Four. It's easy to use a level 80 Pikachu's Payday(TM-learned) on several level 12 Rattatas when you need a little more cash. (Emphasis on "little". For big bucks, just annihilate the Elite Four again)

Brick Break is an HM that allows you to smash rocks. It's a Fighting type move. (Fighting > Rock)

Seriously, though, I understand the mix-up, as a lot of moves seem to be redundant, even in the early games. For example, Sky Attack(I think), is almost identical to Fly except you're more vulnerable to get hit during the "charge up" time.

Hey guys, any of you get the GameStop Deoxys? I got mine last Sunday. At Nintendo World.
Yeeeah... GameStop Deoxys... at Nintendo World. XD It's got Psycho Boost, Zap Cannon, Iron Defense and Extremespeed. Don't know why it's holding NeverMeltIce, though.

Woot! Got Sapphire, my first GBA Poke'mon game on Saturday, and man is it different than the first six. Me and my sister, who are doing a sort of co-op on it, are currently trying to defeat the Fortree Gym Leader.

In Diamond, I traded with someone and the Deoxys they gave to me has this smiley face icon on its profile page. What does that indicate? *scratches head*

Um... I dunno.
But it's probably hacked unless the OT is Gamestp or it was caught in Kanto or Hoenn. But if it was imported from Pal Park you wouldn't know if it was hacked unless it was caught at level 30.
