And then there was a large flashing sign saying:
WELCOME TO THE ALCATRAZ: INSANE DIFFICULTY SCI-FI VERSION!
*All cheat codes have been disabled *All Spacefleet NPC HP increased by 35% *All SF NPCs have been given a 70% increase in accuracy *All SF NPCs have been given superior AI and can now quickly adapt to situations *All security turrets now have 50% increased accuracy and deal 30% more damage *All security turrets now have fluctuating shields *A significant number of guards have been added *Security lights now look prettier *Fixed a bug where the speakers would change to playing Mr. Sandman in emergency situations *Walls have been reinforced making it more difficult to break through them *All ventilation shafts, garbage chutes, and laundry chutes can now lockdown and have turrets installed. *Fixed a bug where doors failed to tell you to "have a nice day"
Good luck!
We're a high tech top security facility. What did you expect?

I was thinking going to the door in Celestial's dream and finding out some information about the gem but if me and Bluisa have to kill a few marines on the way so be it. ^_^ In that case, we should probably figure out just what's behind that door. >> It leads to a lift, but where does the lift go? The science labs seem like the most likely place since they might have information on the gem and gem-cutting tools that were checked out by the Commander a week ago, unless you really feel like interrogating some poor worker in Manufacturing or something. You may also want to take into account computer security systems, although I'm pretty sure that not all the doors require passwords or key cards. << Why, that lift leads to the heart of the Department of Mysteries, silly. ^_^

Don't forget that Celestial spent some time in the real world before finding her powers so she should know enough about science to work it out. As for the security systems I have always wondered what dancing molten iron looks like. ^__^ Oh yeah and prepare for a lot of cheesy movie references while I am in Spacefleet HQ.

I was going to ask something similar: HOW exactly did you make it past our complex security codes to do this air filtering thing? How much do you value Bluisa's life? Some god moding can be allowed in certain situations. However intelligence should be used before trying to swim up a waterfall of molten lava with large chunks of rocks falling down at you in the middle of a lightning storm with a giant lightning rod in your hand to metaphor what Bluisa and Celestial are currently attempting. Now I realize that Celestial is probably mostly fire proof, but keep in mind that if you punch to big of a hole into a wall or ceiling that leads to open space, you're not going to have any time to chant a teleportation spell before certain laws of physics apply themselves to your lungs. Btw... how are you fitting in that hallway? I assume you're not in big dragon form right now? Don't mean to be nitpicky, but at some point someone is going to have to admit that their plan of action was a very bad idea. I know I've been encouraging an attack on SF, but just plopping into a hallway wasn't what I had in mind for a good tactical approach.

How about I talk to you guys and hope you will be civilised enough to listen? >_> Would that suit the 'fleeters? Because I could always resort to illogical and impossible violence. Air maigc, Air magic is the key. Like I said, if I cast any fire spell that could affect the whole area around us, I will cast a shield around us before the fire spell is cast. As for the hole-in-space, Celestial is not exactly unaware of that either. It would take a lot of force to break open the shell of Spacefleet and she isn't going to apply such a force. I was a small dragon which was just big enough to carry one person. I'll assume that fits into your hallway since it would only be about horse size with wings folded. I know it wasn't a very good plan of action but as I pointed out, there are no space taxis around the NTWF. Appearing in the middle of the corridor was the only way we could get there since all the shuttles were taken.

Actually... about that space Taxi thing, I've mentioned several times now that there is a spaceport in Tabloid town. How do you think Keng wound up in Spacefleet if there wasn't someway for planet-siders to get there and join the force?
I haven't quite figured out how this would work around the secrecy policy though. I'm thinking some sort of recruiting agent.
Anyways, if Celestial knows enough about technology to know what part of a post-modern rocket launcher to tamper with to make it explode, I imagine she's likely to know about that weird place in town where the strange flying toasters keep going to and from. Speaking of exploding rocket launchers, I'm confused. How big was that explosion? The rocket launcher would basically light up the hall with explosive power, and they're standing in a rather close group. Does Celestial's shielding have much effect on kinetic energy? You were kinda vague on what happened there. From my understanding she controls elemental magics. Either way I don't see any way someone could survive an explosion of the rocket launcher he's holding, shielding or not.
I know... I know... nitpicky, nitpicky... but in order to RP effectively in this against a... well let's face it, you've basically turned celestial into a god of immeasurable powers, I need to know what the effects are o.0
Annnd... as a geeky question and fellow lover of Dune *points at your location*, is Celestial's thousand dragon thing similar to a reverend mother/ 'abomination'/ Kwitsane Hirach?

I didn't know about the Spaceport. D: And because Celestial is a newcomer to the NTWF I don't think she would have wondered over to Tabloid town and seen the flying toasters. XD Whoops. And you have raised a good point, I'll edit the post but because all the energy was going in the direction of the flame the marines would have to be knocked over. It shoudn't have been too big and does the guy holding it have a heat shield? If not, he has some nice 3rd degree burns and quite a few broken bones. I seriously don't want a body count while I'm trying to negotiate. ^^;;;;;; Don't worry about the nitpicking, it's helpful. ^^ I've edited my post to accomodate the guy's injuries and the kinetic energy of the blast. The effects, I'll try to keep them to a minimum. If negotiations don't work, it isn't going to be pretty. No. It's more like something I did on the spot when Subila took over the library and then I found that I liked it. XD But I like your thinking. ^_^ >_> You don't get it do you. As PFA has learned thrice in this GW (and once in the previous one, now that I'm thinking of it)... the guild bases are practically impenetrable. XDDD;; Mainly because none of the guilds want their bases to go boom.

XDDD;; Mainly because none of the guilds want their bases to go boom. I wouldn't have a problem with that happening to Spacefleet, personally... if it were being attacked by an entire army of forumers. But come on... this is two people we're talking about here. I'll let Keng handle the majority of the NPC's in Spacefleet HQ, so if she wishes to take non-violent action and negotiate, that's perfectly okay. However, I would strongly caution Celestial and Vyt to keep their powers in check if things should get violent. Killing a few groups of marines and security drones is okay, but when you somehow manage to destroy swarms upon swarms of technologically advanced soldiers (all by yourselves, mind), that's when it starts to veer towards godmoding. There has to be a point in time where your characters simply can't take anymore.

Cyborg, I'd just like to point out that I highly doubt that your fox can recover from a cracked skull in all of a minute. It's not like a cut, it's a pretty bad injury. Even with accelerated healing, he'd still be unable to fight for at least a few days.
