. . .
We should make a "Guild Wars II: The Musical!" thread. There we can suggest song parodies, scenes, inside jokes and stuff.

Moved to Memory Lane, I guess. . . . But somehow, it disappeared . . . >_> Yeah, there were glitches and duplicates and… yeah, it disappeared. *gathers up saved stuff* I thought people might like to have whatever bits may have survived. "To everyone who is willing to listen, I come to you with an offer. It's a simple one. At this moment, you should be painfully aware of a storm that's trying to rip things in half. I can end that, but I don't really plan to stop there. What I want is to put an end to discrimination against demonkind. To put it plainly, I want to let demons walk the lands as freely as you or I. They do not deserve the hatred that is given to them any more than you deserve to be hated. And to do that, I need your cooperation. I do not make this offer without giving something in return," Kit reached deeper into his Clairvoyance than he ever could, amplified tremendously by the gem, to touch the memories and thoughts of everyone he was speaking with.
"I offer you money," at this, Kit channelled the image of a dragon's horde of gold to all the pirates and mercenaries.
"I offer you power," to Spacefleet, and especially Strife, Kit channelled the image of demon-assisted technology, a fusion of the mystical powers of the abyss with the ruthless efficiency of science; alongside images of a limitless campaign of conquest.
"I offer you acceptance," to Keng, Celestial, Hades, Aeri, Drakhé and Scar, he gave them the image of being fully human again, free from the stigma that their current form brought them.
"I offer you healing and life," to Alerid, he gave the image of being fully healed. To Cat Assassin, he provided him with the image of Vyt being brought back to life. To Jernath, Tamia and Emma, he gave them the image of their villages and families brought back, restored to the way they once were.
"And I offer you knowledge," to the Mages, he gave them a brief glimpse of all the arcane knowledge stored within the Abyss, more than enough to fill the manor with parchment several times over.
"And to those that will oppose me, please don't think I'm evil for wanting to do this. Each and every one of you would not hesitate to fight for humankind if it were as oppressed as demons are. I am only doing the same for them. However, if you really want to stop me, I'll probably hurt you. Or more. And to those that will ally themselves with me, I will be waiting until midnight at the south gate of Dunburrow. Anyone who isn't with me, shall be considered against me."
Seline rolled her eyes in utter annoyance. "It's Seline, not Sabine! Great. Just great. Man, these mages are so--"
A doorbell interrupted her thoughts. Seline groaned as the cat Omni was talking with went to open the door and - possibly - get Nature. The elvish dragon faced Omni again. "My owner appears to be okay, but some dark magic entered her. Is that a bad thing?"
Tamia, Rikku, Wolf, Shino, Cat Assassin,
I'm not sure how to write something inspiring, as I don't remember any speeches or documents that were meant to be. So I will stick with the facts. I hope I'm not too late to warn you. There is a force that threatens to take over this world with its power, and oppress the inhabitants. This force's power is bound to be large and may even be connected to the dark storm that is plaguing this world. Last I heard, it was near the castle, and there may still be some sign of it there. But I doubt that it will stay for long, it will likely move forth and conquer at the first chance it gets. If this world is to continue to be free we will have to stand together against it, use everything in our power, and not back down. Please, join me against this force, then this world will have a chance at survival.
-Ethan
P.s. You may ask others to join the fight, but please don't tell them about this letter. Meanwhile, a gathering appeared to be in place. Those that had gathered resembled medieval villagers, with the exception of animal appendages on a large percent of the people. A few even had fur covering their whole bodies. The crowd was quiet, the air was tense… the land was tinted red… They were gathered around a young woman. She appeared to be meditating, her eyes closed, her breathing steady. They appeared to be waiting on her, fidgeting nervously.
Some time passed, the girl slowly began to open her eyes… her eyes, which seemed more hollow than most, and yet, they seemed to stare right into you, reading your every thought, as well as much more.
Some of the crowd leaned forward expectantly, and she spoke. Her face bore no expression, her voice showed little more.
"It is as we feared."
Gasping ensued, as well as some sobbing. A man who stood at the with those at the front of the crowd took a half-step forward. "Can you warn them?" he asked.
She remained expressionless. "I will try," and she closed her eyes again. With her mind, she reached out, and spoke a message. Only those with compatible abilities would be able to pick it up, and of those, only the more sensitive would be able to hear spoken words.
Animal kingdom Many species, many clans Running ever free
Peaceful relations Some trades, some alliances And yet each their own
A dark entity Enters kingdom, offers gift Unmeasurable
Quietly studied Very desirable Later discovered
Each clan wants the gift But the gift is only one Gift becomes a prize
Struggle for the prize Constantly grows more intense Vicious slaughtering
Fight reaches zenith Dark One returns, reclaims gift Prize becomes a cage
The more vicious clans Attempt escape, straining selves The bars do not give
Pointless to resist Yet they continue trying Growing ever fiercer
The more gentle clans Ask the Captor for release Permission denied
Fierce Ones pent up rage Cage rattles, calm ones injured Separate cage made
Time ever flies on The clans remain as they are Longing for freedom
Some were not captured Free Ones flourish over time Ever unaware
Fierce' cage discovered Free Ones try to claim the prize Chaos soon ensues
Prize misunderstood Free Ones try to control it Dark One emerges
Fierce Ones try to speak Tell the Free Ones of their plight Awaiting escape
Calm Ones stay silent Watching how things outside turn Seeing ev'rything
Fierce Ones cage destroyed They reek havoc on the world Out to get revenge
Dark One hides away Escaping with Sailing Clan Proceeding to plot
Perfect cage readied Free Ones are free… for how long? Their fate in their hands Dear journal
I've managed to catch back up on my sleep. It may be awhile before my sleep schedual is back to normal, though.
Relations with Spacefleet seem to be going well. I watched some of the farmers as they were instructed on how to use various tools, from a distance. I'm glad I had that distance. Although, admittedly, some of it was humorous. Like that one who was using a… tractor-plow thingy. I think he hit the gas instead of the brake, and could use some practice when it comes to drive, reverse, park, etcetera.
I approached a Spacefleet-person who was doing some research or something. They were a bit surprised to find that I wasn't as… unfamiliar with technology as one might expect from someone in a world of swords and magic. I have an intrigue for technology. In Neopia, I often used Virtupet technology in one way or another. Even in Mage Manor, I brought back I even brought back an alarm clock with I still use in Mage Manor. I'm thinking of seeing if I can get something from Spacefleet, like a computer, a portable one. Maybe I could get something that has magic used on it. I wonder if here's a way to magically give a computer infinite disk space…
I've been having fun with the gem mages. Today I showed them my trick where I mix in certain people's energies to change the color of spells. …Well, the result of the spells. Technically a fireball isn't a spell in itself. I think a few of them were a little jealous. It can be hard to retain someone else's energy on your own body for a long period of time, and they don't have anything like the Crystal. I'm sure stuff like it exist, but none of the ones that came (by which I mean the gem mages that came here) have one (a magic-storage thing).
The ones that really enjoy learning and studying are probably the ones that I enjoy talking to best. They say curiosity killed the cat. I bet that cat didn't have someone to tell them what to be careful of. Some of the old spells seem to behave a little differently than the newer ones. It's probably due to changes in style. I want to describe what I mean, but I'm not sure how to in words. …I think maybe there are ways to basically create the same thing, like different gestures, and arcane words, and such might create a fireball of the same size and intensity, but due to those differences, what responds to them in what ways, or what the fireballs themselves respond to, might be affected. They've been browsing through our library. I've been browsing through their old magic books (with permission). I've brought up the possibility of adding their books to our library. I think we may need to make extra copies of them first.
"Lady Omni!"
Omni didn't have to look up to see who it was that called her. There were only two people (possibly three now) in Mage Manor who called her 'lady' as a title, and the voice told her which one it was.
"Hey, Nature. You really don't have to… what happened to your head?"
Nature paused, as Omni ran up to her. "Um… I don't know. I think someone hit me on the head."
There was a pause. "That could do it," Omni said, moving to hold her hand near Nature's injury. "Hold still…"
There was a soft glow, both from Omni's crystal and between Omni's hand and Nature's head. Nature felt a soft, soothing sensation and the pain was numbed. Omni 'felt' Natures injury with the energy, looking for and damaged brain tissue to direct heal faster than normal. After she finished with that, she moved on to the fractured skull, although she wasn't quite as careful. She generally treated the more sensitive systems with extra care, because mess-ups with those could cause their own problems. When she was finished with the healing, the glow stopped and she returned to just standing. "There. Now what did you come for?"
A brief pause before Nature spoke. "I came to continue my training."
Training… The word ran through Omni's mind. "Okay, just one thing."
Nature looked a bit worried, as if wondering what 'one thing' could possibly be. "What?"
Omni tilted her head slightly and gave a slight smile. "I want to learn some of your ice magic. Like a bit after each time we meet for… training, or every other time, or something. I'll be easy on you, you don't have to tell me any specific amount each time, I'll leave how much up to you, but I'd like at least a little bit each time. We also don't have to start right away. 'Kay?"
There was another pause, as is Nature was a bit weirded out by the idea of teaching her teacher. "O…kay."
Omni smiled. "Great! Oh, let me show you something." She walked over to the table she was at earlier, picking up a random piece of blank parchment. She held it so one side faced toward Nature, held her other hand over said side, and focused. Words appeared on the parchment as if written quickly, but not messily. When finished, the parchment read "I'm writing with my mind! Cool, huh?"
Omni continued talking. "You do have to focus on which words you want put down, as well as focus your thoughts, otherwise you could get unwanted writing in there, particularly if you have a song with words stuck in your head… Anyway, it is really useful. I could show you how to do it."
"That would be great!"
"Great. May I just finish this journal entry first?"
"Okay."
"Thanks. This shouldn't be very long." Omni turned back to the journal, continuing to write without a pen.
Nature just came up to me. I showed her the same spell that I used am using to write this. I still find it weird how what I write can differ from what I would say. I wonder why?
Anyway, she wants to continue her 'training.' I'm going to show her teach her how to use this spell after I'm finished writing this. I sometimes have trouble deciding what to teach her next. It is [/i] nice to be able to have an excuse to tell someone things I know about magic and energy. Though Nature has referred to me as a 'mentor' before, and when I think 'mentor' I think of someone who guides with more… human (is there a term that would work for including non-humans?) matters, say, not so much a technique for a practice of something physical, but more along the lines of social or diplomatic. Life stuff. I plan on teaching her those kinds of things, as well, both in lessons as well as when something that might require it comes up. Not just yet, though. It would also be nice to have someone to teach my… learnings to. Someone to influence. I can't teach a whole lot at once, naturally (although that would be nice). Line upon line. I'll have to do bit by bit.[/i] "Alright," Omni said, marking the page and closing the book. "Grab some parchment." ---------- If something is in my field of view, I'll see it. If something can be picked up by my ears, I'll hear it. Yet I didn't notice those mercenaries escaping until just before they vanished. Note to self: Looking in just one direction can mean you will miss things, particularly if you can't hear an approach over something else.
I've been considering what to train Siber to do next. Combat is a high priority as you never know when another invasion or other sort of attack will occur. I'll also train him to do other tricks, both with useful purposes and just to show how well-trained and disciplined he is. I may need to focus on a few tricks at a time, to increase the chance of him being able to use one trick properly when it might be needed, or at least useful. Even though he has higher intelligence than most dogs, his learning capacity is still limited, and he tends to be impatient. Also, it will take him longer to grow to the adult stage than most dogs, possibly as a side effect to the lengthened life span, so it will be some time before I even can teach him some tricks. On the plus side, this means more time to spend while he still has the energy and playfulness of a puppy.
I still do not have the authority to have access to files on the Garnet, despite the fact that I was near when it was retrieved.
A new computer and robotics specialist named Hikari Hoshikira recently arrived in Spacefleet. I met her today. She kept talking about how intriguing my implants are, asking questions about how they function. She also said that she'd like to study them. I don't like that idea. I'm planning on avoiding predictability when it comes to my location as much as possible.
Attempts to learn about my past have still been unsuccessful. Even the archives on the planet NTWF have not been helpful. It may be quite some time before I find a clue anywhere. It's a big universe, and I could only have traveled so much. I'm reminded of the phrase 'trying to find a needle in a haystack.' Even so, there is a chance. As long as there is a chance, no matter how small, I will continue to look.
It's dinnertime. I'm going to take a longer route this time. I think I'll get something extra for Siber, he's been particularly good today.[/spoiler] Shiva being wild and crazy. The library, Subila, and a removed reference to a joke post. Ikkin VS Spacefleet. It doesn't have a bumper! A tiny bit of Omni traveling. An' don't forget the Memorable Quotes thread!

Yep, it's gone.
I think there's a poetic irony to all this; a moral to the story, perhaps. We worked so long and hard, fighting each other just for the sake of fighting, and in the end, it amounted to nothing.

[glow=red,2,300]... Yeah... ... If you're all gonna kill me, at least wait until I kill Proboards first, ^_^ Then I can die, if not happy, then at least somewhat avenged. There's no retrieving her from the Great Abyss. T_T The Gulf of Glitchiness has taken her, may she Rest In Peace. ... I JUST realized. You know what this is, right? This is TMC's revenge. ;[/glow] We really shouldn't have pushed him around that much, eh? >>;;; Quite frankly, I don't miss it all that much. It would've been nice to save, yes, but face it, who else but ourselves would've wanted to reread 174 pages of a roleplay? And we, the ones who were part of it, will remember most of it, or at least the highlights. And the OOC is a pretty good collection of cliffnotes on all the key events, as is Wolf's summary minus the last forty-something pages. And we might be able to make use of TMC's revenge in GW3 x3 (although it reeks of the Altador plot in Neopets. But still.) Too bad the GW MQ's weren't used more often, though >___> Moar activity next time, yes? And, since Happily Ever Afters shall never be lost to the jaws of TMC,

Alright! All that 'shipping and other such embarrassment is gone! ;D*smacks Jernath* >_> Anyway, perhaps the thread may have been eaten by a Proboards glitch, but GW2 will forever exist in our hearts... and our memories. ^_^ ...Which just so happens to be me referencing this summary of GW2 I just wrote up completely from memory. <_< Which I mainly made so Sab will have something to reference off of for the RPG, but hey. I know I missed lots of details, so feel free to PM/MSN/otherwise message me if you want to add something that you remembered better than I did. Was hoping I could use some sort of Wikipedia-style page so you guys could edit it yourself, but I guess Freewebs doesn't have those just yet.

Not even the Internet Time Machine could restore GW2 by now. We'll have to wait for six months for it to be able to update this month's happenings, and there's no certainty that it will be able to recover GW2's contents. However, we can help Wolf complete the summary by giving him our character's summary of what happened. That means he won't be using his own format of delivering the summary, and we might even forget some important details.

What we really could use is a kind of NPC-Wiki. Granted, we could've used one anyway (you guys still remember that the Fleet subcommander Surly is a ghost in Castle Kestrel at this point?) but after a roleplay, the only actual thing that has an impact on future events is character progress, isn't it? We more or less know how our own characters progressed, but we really could use a kind of NPC-recollection to archive everyone who emerged in the GW. It'd be a convenient character-pool for future references as well.
...now if I could remember the name of the castle maid who had the encounter with the blarf >> I liked her.

GW3: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS GW2?! I still kinda wanted to catch up on what I'd missed D: Oh well. Reality is I'd have never gotten around to it. On that note... I think next time we try to do an all guild's roleplay it could be just a general one. No ultimate goal of war or pre-determined plot line. Afterall.. we can't have a war that ends with "and then we all learned how awsome peace is and how futile war is" one every year.

[glow=red,2,300]Heh, I guess my post wasn't as specific as I thought it was. Yeah, i tried to ML it and it exploded on me. >.>; It's 170+ pages of long, detailed posts. We only ever let the 'bloids get to 150.
But yes, thanks for the retrieving of the bits and pieces. ^_^;
Also, Keng, we've been talking about skirmish-RPs, which take place between 2 or 3 guilds. The first one will be with the pirates and Spacefleet, actually. It'll center around Cyborg and whether or not he'll re-join the Pirates. ^_^
*wonders if we've actually asked any Fleet about this* >.>;[/glow]
