I realize some forumers do not like rats. Please do not bring that here. Thank you.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not promote "hobbyist breeding" of rats. This is simply a game just for fun.
Rats are fairly versetile creatures and come in many shapes & sizes. Common in the pet trade are Selves, Hooded, PEW (pink-eyed-white), REW (red-eyed-white), Berkshire, Bareback, etc. Rarer are Rex, Dumbo, Manx, Hairless, Double Rex, etc.
Breeders have bred the Dumbo gene and Rex gene into their rats via consistent breeding. Now, I provide you at the NTWF, to have these "Rattens" as "pets". These are a little different from regular adoptions; these are breedable, but with a few twists...
TYPES
Fancies Regular rats. This is used to refer to all domesticated rats, but is more frequently used to refer to just plain "fancy" rats. These have many colors and patterns that stem off into the other types.
FancyxAny other type
FancyxFancy
Dumbo Larger, circular ears positioned lower on the head. If on the middle of the head about where human ears would be if rats had human ears is considered a "good" dumbo. In Rattens, all dumbos are "good" dumbos.
DumboxAny other type
DumboxDumbo
Rex Have naturally curly hair and whiskers. This starts to loose it's curl after awhile. In the Ratten Rattery, Rexes never lose their curl.
RexxAny other type
RexxRex (DOUBLE REX. Double rexes look pretty much like hairless, but still have a bit of their fur)
Manx/Tailless Lack tail. Incapable of regulating own body temp.
ManxxManx
Harley These are a rarity indeed. They have what appears to be "ruffled, messy" fur. Very cute!
HarleyxHarley
Odd-eye One red eye, one black.
PEW/REWxRegular black-eyed fancy rat (RARE)
Hairless No fur all over their body. Warmer then a regular ratty, but still like the company of a furred rat.
HairlessxHairless
More of these will be released as time goes by as some will not be able to be bred at the Rattery since the rats will not carry the right genes. Example; a hairless cannot carry the Harley gene, but could carry the dumbo gene if it were a dumbo. Hairless can have both ear types; Regular and Dumbo, as can Rex, Manx, and Harley.
BREEDING
In the wild and in captivity, rats can produce up to 30 pinkies/bubs in a litter. However, to keep me from ripping out my hair, Rattens can only produce 5 in a litter. The genders will be completely random. Pinkies will then evolve into Babies, then into Adult. Babies will be auctioned off to other people or sold back to me to sell at the store. Breeding RexXDumbo will have half the litter be rexes, half be dumbos - some will be both. Breeding DumboXDumbo will produce all dumbos in the litter. RegularXDumbo will cause half the litter to have dumbo ears, etc. You may not breed your own rats together. Breeding is to only be between two different people's rats.
To breed, PM or IM me, we'll work it out. Only FemalesXMales may breed.
