Because Belle has now been eaten up by college, the Adopt-a-Critter thread is officially closed (but the thread will remain as er, a remembrance p:p ).

I've decided to just re-release some Critter species 'cause I don't have the time to come up with new ones.
CURRENT CONTEST: Mysterious Briefcase
The results of this contest are currently on hold. Sorry but college is keeping me busy. ^^; I'll try to release the results and prizes this week.
This mysterious briefcase suddenly appeared out of nowhere. It contains something really special that no Critter (or owner) has ever had before. To open it, one must have the special key. If you manage to open the briefcase, then what it contains is yours.
To join the contest, just say that you want to buy Key Number [blank]. There are 30 keys in all. Each costs 15 Paws. You can buy up to a maximum of 3 keys. When all the keys are taken, I will reveal which key opens the briefcase. There will also be two consolation prizes.

PLANNING SOMETHING NEW!
I need your opinions on this. ^^ Instead of boosters, I'm thinking of releasing items that will animate your Critter (e.g. make it blink, walk, smile, etc.). If you ask for your Critter to be animated, a new version of him/her will be placed on your Critter account below. That way, you can choose if you want to use your Critter's animated version or not. I need opinions/suggestions on this so please post what you think on the thread.
The Story
One day, Belle was bored. She was looking through one of her favorite clip art collections when a thought formed in her head: "Hey, wonder how these'll look like pixelized..."
And, voila, the Critters were born! Critters love to play and need lots of care and attention. By earning enough Paws (the Critter County currency), you will be able to buy cool stuff for your Critter and help him/her transform into a better Critter. ^^
NEW: Each forumer can adopt up to a maximum of 2 Critters.

How To Earn Paws
You can get Paws by joining and/or winning contests and through random events. Wishing Stars might also give you Paws (or perhaps a certain item) but it all depends on how lucky you are.
A note on Selling Items: Did you buy something and then for some reason, you realize that you don't want it anymore? ^^ Well, you can sell it back to the shop for a fourth of its original price or sell it to other Critter owners for half of its original price.
