I did say "wannabe." 
It was the first thing that came to mind.
I suppose in Neopian context, it makes me think of... well, what it is. *grin* The result of somebody thinking the Darigani and particularly the Winged Horde looked Really Cool, and getting a paint job to suit that idea... which is why I think that characters who regard the whole Darigan Look as part of the curses they fell under would be freaked out.
(I'm ragging on myself, here, I should note. *points to Rakshai* I keep picturing Lord Darigan looking over my shoulder: "You get a Fountain Faerie Quest and you use it for WHAT? And what do you mean you want to build a Neohome on the Citadel? Do you know how many people we've had move off it once they got the chance? ...Well, come to think of it, I suppose there's room now. Let me go talk to the Neopian Construction Committee.")
