I don't understand what you people mean by the pets are being released too quickly... Hissies were released in MAY! ... That's almost half a year. Doesn't seem too quick to me. Ixis and Draiks were the closest releases, I think, and those two are separate by almost 2 months. And they haven't done anything with them since! I'm just tired fo them releasing a bunch of random pets, then never putting them in games or plots or anything. They release them, then kind of forget about them...

There's a big ghost Hissi in Geraptiku... And Kastraliss can arguably be a Hissi. That doesn't seem too bad to me.

I think it's that they don't get too much attention on the actual site. Sure, Kastraliss is a Hissi as far as I can see, but since he's tied into the Darkest Faerie, he probably won't get much attention on the site, methinks. And the giant ghost is... well, just there. Hissies and Rukis were the most ignored of the new pets- Boris got a plot, and Yurbles got the Yurble Raider (he's not very famous or anything, but he's got a Neopedia article, at least). Rukis got zilch. Zip. Nada. It's like the Curse of the Insect Neopets- Buzz don't get much attention either. I don't mind too much about the Rukis, I don't like them too much (I think it's the Angry pose, it just looks weird to me), but I still think they should do more for a Neopet with such wickedly cool colours like Darigan and Mutant as the Hissi. Still, trying to work with a serpentine Neopet with no limbs and a pair of wings could be pretty frustrating.

And doesn't Kastraliss have a Neopedia article too? But this sort of thing is common to Neopets. Some species get tons of attention (Aisha, Usul, Lupe, etc), and others are left alone and forgotten (Tuskaninny, Chomby, Flotsam, etc). You can't expect these new pets to be suddenly spotlighted. Eh.

Eh. He did? *goes to check* Actually, I am kinda glad most of my favourite Neopets are uncommon. Sure I'd like them to gain a bit more stuff, but then again I'm happy being in the minority. It's like some weird double-edged thinking. Meh. For example, let's take the Quiggle. There are very few well-known Quiggles- Quinton, the Neopian Adventure Guy, and maybe the Quiggle Runner. A lot of people don't like frogs, and their knack for health food gives them something like a bad reputation. So they're one of the less popular pets (yet strangely more popular than the cute seals that are Tuskaninnies). While having more Quiggle stuff would be good, I'm glad that they're so rare- if suddenly another 3 million Quiggles burst into Neopia and everybody wanted one, then mine'd feel less like an 'individual', despite the fact that there are over a million Quiggles in Neopia. Gosh, how did the conversation change from Xweetoks to this? You people have got me going.

Maybe Neopets is releasing pets fast, although I agree that six months is enough to wait. Just tell me- what's wrong with releasing pets fast? I don't think it really changes much.
Back to the X-pet: Not as cute as the Lutari.... but I still like it! Sortof a mutant chipmunk. Maybe I'll get a new account to get this and a Bori or something.... And I don't mind the name, although coming from a person with 'zylaa' as their username, it's not saying much.

Meh... they're okay... they look WAAAY too much like a cross between a Wocky and Usul- with a pinch of Yurble thrown in... not really that original methinks...

I have mixed feelings. While I do think they should wait before releasing yet another new pet -- I haven't yet fully gotten over the Hissi -- it is a certainly interesting new one, quite unlike anyone before it. It closely resembles a chipmunk or squirrel... I don't think any pet resembles either of those two things, except perhaps a Meerca. This opens up several opportunities... Anyways, I like it. But I like the Lutari more. Nothing resembles a squirrel? When was the last time you saw a Usul? Dear Gosh, there are so many pets we forget some! Oh my... How could I forget Usuls? O___O I think you may be right. If that's the case, head for the hills! *flees*

Maybe they'll discuss the Xweetok in the Editorial?
I'm personally obsessed with whther it's the April Fools' Day Pet or not. Because if April Fools' Day comes, and that neopet hasn't been released yet, well, then it'll be like NeoSchool.

I love Quiggles, but I also like the fact that they're unusual. I don't see what's wrong with health food, though... *chews on a carrot* "OMG i saw this weird pet n no wun will tell me wear they got it WUT IZ IT?!!! it looks lyk a squirrel itz SO CUTE!" "Oh, that is a Xweetok. We just released them; you can create your own like all the other pets." ... I can't imagine them going much farther than that. Frankly I wasn't extremely keen on any of the April Fool's pets. My favorites were the Carmariller (but not so much in yellow...) and the llama-like pet. I didn't think the Lutari was super-special either (nice name, though), so I'm not exactly waiting anxiously for them to be released. ... I just had an awful thought... you don't think that the whole April Fool voting thing was a big extended joke and that they're not going to release the pet after all. Could they be that cruel?

On an unrelated topic in regards to neoschools, there's this little funny thing in the Darkest Faerie: In the graveyard level, you can read the tombstones. One of them says "Neoschools" on it. ;D
