Roc's Box - X300 - by: green_rocIt took me a second to get the joke, but I'm pretty slow anyways. The exaggerated expression on the xweetok was great, and the eyrie's body language in the first two panels was awesome too, though the anatomy of its shoulder makes the pose in the second panel a bit wierd... maybe if the shoulder joint was higher up...
But it's a hard pose, anyway.
Randomocity! 300th issue Crossover by: coshi_dragoniteI love the clean style of the artwork here! Was it made in Flash? the variation in line width for the eyes and things is pretty cool too. I'm not so much of a fan of "meepit gunna take over the world" jokes, but seeing them beat another neopets villain was nice.
Weewoo Auditions by: _icypanther_ and __lyra152__Sorry to sound all mean and critical, but it was a bit monotonous to read all the way down there. Took me a while to work out that the competition was about dressing as a weewoo - I thought it was a comic character design contest for a while. But I liked seeing those commentators with a new job, judging the "tough competition" of a weewoo dressup.
Razzle Dazzle - Episode XV by: khestrelWow, the art is great as usual, and the dialogue especially in the last panel was, well, diabolical. Muhaha. If I had to crit something, it would be the *slam hand onto table* part at the end - the way the arm is bent makes it look like she's just resting her hand on the table, but if the wrist had bent the other way with the heel of the palm pressing hard on the tabletop, it could have looked more convincing. Great storylines, though.
Read All About It! by glideramesoooh.. pretty. I love this pixelly style - so detailed and so simple, somehow. But the narrator's lines were a little.. oddly phrased? Maybe if they had gone something like, "the NT, ideal for those who like... to read... to shape... to hide... to eat...?" But its still pretty cool for something that looks like it was done in Ms paint.
No Game Here - Crossover by: edddibgazVery cute the way the pteri is bonding with the grarrl... an odd couple, of course. Nice way of looking at the eggs in grarrl keno as potential pteri eggs.
SHH! Crossover - by: kamikatze24 and hello5346I was somewhat confused about who was talking in the panel where it just has a black background and yellow thunderclaps... was it Ravenatore? But then... why do we only hear her voice saying she's back, but we don't get to see her? Wierd... but the characters were really detailed and shaded and colourful.
Random Espionage 300: Savor the Moment by: kazenkori and Silvermare200Lol, nothing like a very random random event to interrupt your deeply philosophical thoughts!
Bucky the Babaa Crossover - by petfriendamyHaha, I didn't know we could put scam stories in the NT. THough as this is really a fictional thing that obviously couldn't happen as petpets don't usually go about squandering their owners money... nyesh. Nice idea for a speech bubble design.
Neopups Issue 300 Crossover - by: simsman24000Very diabolical expression on the baby lupe's face ;D Quite unexpected answer, too.
xD What Psycho Thinks - by: psychoticdancerLol! This got me laughing. Such an original angle on something so new, now that's something I don't see very often. The artwork was a little erm, spartan with the white background, but as they're in snow that can be excused. The joke more than makes up for it. Also quite nice how there's so little dialogue - it's challenging to keep the characters expressing themselves without words, but it pays off
Meow? (Crossover) by: cardquestmanagerWa-how. The details and mood in all the background, the shading of it all, the gradients on the picket fence, just blow my mind. And those two panels where the meepit gestulated so threateningly at Sloth... were probably the most powerful drawings of meepits I've seen in a long time. if not ever. It's just unfortunate how the bright purple on the darigan aisha went all bleedy because of the jpeg compression...
The Bunker by: hubadawahaErm... sorry. I don't know who's tugging on the Kyrii's tail. Or is it the owner playing the claw machine? In that case shouldn't the arm be made of metal and shaped like a claw-machine-hand?
Normal is Overrated by: tamarainian_girl and cat_luva_l__l Sounds like a nice start to a plotline, and the colours in this are just gorgeous. I hope it does continue
Dangerously Insane - Issue 300 Edition - by: leah_51293Ah, the dream sequence. Good idea too, having nightmares about not making it into Issue 300.. I wish there was some other colour than white in the background, but it's still pretty cool. The random bespectacled yellow chia was great too. lol... if I had to add something, I would probably have made the dream seem even more exaggeratedly surreal at the end than it is now, since it seems almost normal... but its awesome anyway.
Pastimes - Neoquest II - by: maivry and hoeivaLol, if only that were true. I love the shading on the characters and the backgrounds were really nice and soft looking too. Rohane's complete change of stance in the last panel was great.
Smelly Nelly Crossover - by: ghostkomorichuSooo cruel! I love it! And of course Komori's artwork is lovely, with the detailed but not too distracting backgrounds, fluid poses and brilliant expressions. I like it how there aren't any completely straight lines, but the outlines of things like the fridge and the window frame are very very subtly wavy. Looks more natural that way ;D
And... it's the blue one!
Glitter Goad - by: jadentearzThe pirate lupe's puppy-dog eyes are adorable in the last frame! The closeup of its face was nice too. Can't think of much else to say...
Amikarashui 300th NT Special by: bluecloud300Ahaha, being stampeded on by weewoos is great fun. If you are a spectator. Love the artwork, makes them weewoos look so innocent, and the huge crowd of them must have taken ages to finish.
Pointless Nonsense - Crossover by: u_uzzzzzAww, the punchline is so sweet. But it's wierd how the kacheek's expression seems to be smiling in most of the frames, when it's supposed to be screaming in terror and so on. I think it's the way the edges of the mouth seem to be upturned at the edges. I think it should have been more like a semicircle with the flat part on the bottom and the round edge at the top.
And the Meepits Outgrabe - Issue 300 Special - by: kittylinAwesomely adorable as always ^^ The catlike neopet (wocky or aisha, I'm scared to guess in case I get it wrong)'s ears are so delicate and cute. The atmosphere throughout is so sweet.
Slightly Ebil - 300th Edition - by: soaringeagle25Hah, now I've got that chant all stuck in my head x3 The characters are so well rendered, even without shading, cos those harmonious maroons and lilacs are so nice as flat colours. Rumba rumba rumBA!
Why Robot Petpets Have An "Off" Switch - by: ickesslerIt's so cute how little the robot petpet cares for its neopet master's feelings. I guess that's how a robot is, when you get down to it... heart of metal and all.
Priceless! - by: patjade and peri0neoThe pure pixel art is so pretty, but it's sad that the white weewoo was pasted in from its item! You might have at least traced over it in pixels so that its style would fit in with the rest of the comic. But the parody was nice. I just got a bit confused at the last line - it implies that the usul DID find a place where NT writers couldn't track her down, but then what's with the invasion of the newspaper stacks? Or are they meant to be there? I would have thought it would be better if the usul had a really relaxing time until the last frame, where all chaos breaks loose and the resolution is with the usul coming to accept her fate that you cannot find a place where NT fans can't get you, the punchline being something along the lines of, "Discovering that there is no place to hide from the NT: Priceless".
If you can understand my rambling explanation... ^^;
Thanks to everyone who's commented on my Gallion Ranch comic so far! I'll get back to them... it's taken ages to review all these comics here.
