Very few comics this time around... though it is refreshing since the last issue...
ANYWAYS, here goes, my very short comic review for issue 252...:
Ways to Destroy a Pesky Owner by zipperaward For me, this wasn't the most laugh-out-loud comic I've seen, but it's a great idea and it is pretty funny, pretty cute, too. Good job.
Reviews for "Air Heart" would be appreciated. It's quite different than my first two published stories, so I'd definitely like reviews for it. Come to think of it, if you like identical writing styles for each piece of work that isn't a part of a series, I'm not the writer for you. My style changes with the project, and this story was quite different than "Tales of a Petpet Campfire" and "Patience."
Primarily because I have no time right now, since I have to be getting to bed soon, I will be doing all of my reviews tomorrow. That is, if life allows me to get the time online. If I don't get 'em all done then, expect them all on Sunday.

Here's my short story review!
Starshine: An Eyrie's Beginnings by Dream This was a nice story. Not one of my favorites, but it was well-written and had no errors in either grammar or spelling that I picked up on. I liked the ending, but I won't spoil it here since it appears I'm the first to review it. Good job; I guess I should look for more of Avi Girl in the future?
Blue Amber by Tyr This was another good story; well-written and flawless. It, too, unfortunately, didn't strike me as one of my favorite stories. However, it was good and I did enjoy reading it. Svolbard was a nice character.

And my final review of the week, on series.
The Day 250 Struck: Part Three by puppy200010 and plutoplus1 This was a great ending to the series. Your *ahem - removed to keep the story a surprise* was quite ingenious. I was skepticle at fist, but then I fed it into Word, and it does, in fact, have 250 characters exactly. That's awesome; I'm not sure how you did it.
Though I felt the ending was a bit lackluster after how you built the story up to it in the past two weeks, it was still a very nice ending to the series. I particularly liked how, at the end, there were 300 red bricks...
I guess I'll have to wait a year for that story, won't I?
Encountering Resistance: Part Five by moosuem I know moosuem isn't NTWF... but his series is awesome. I've followed it since the beginning and it is some of the greatest work I've read in the NT. This part was particularly surprising, ending with the biggest cliffhanger, I feel, of this series yet.

Normally, by this time, there have already been a few reviews...
It's a little unsettling that I've been the only one to review this issue yet.
I hope everyone is alright.

A couple quick reviews...
Ways to Destroy a Pesky Owner Cute! And very true, I'm sure. xD
Air Heart This story was refreshingly different from most others. I haven't (until now) read a story about Faerie Cloud Racers, and this was very nicely written. I'll admit that at first I was a bit confused with all the characters and names, but as the story went on and pretty much narrowed to two main characters it didn't matter so much. Overall it was a great story and I really enjoyed reading it! ^^;;
I'll do more... Someday... Maybe... xD

Aw, not a lot this time. *cries* Since there's not a lot I might get around to reviewing everything {except for series pieces}. I'll have to do that sometime later. It's after midnight now, bedtime, and tomorrow is a BUSY DAY. ;-; Reviews coming later.
EDIT HALF AN HOUR LATER: Fine, fine. I'm supposed to be in bed but maybe one review? Coming right up!

Ways to Destroy a Pesky Owner {zipperaward} I really like your drawing style. It's simple and cute. I especially like simple because it's easy on the eyes, but it's not TOO simple. Perfect. However, it seems like ghosts joke is being used a lot. I haven't seen it used exactly like that, but I know I've seen it used before. I do like the screenie use of the random events, though. Good job!

The Lost World of Stnaltia: Part Seven
by silentbutterfly
"A guess?!?! You risked our lives for a guess?!" Brave_Eyes almost screamed.
"But it was a good one!"
I love how these two banter.
I think there was a typo in this paragraph though...
"We'd better hurry," Laiperoa said and picked up Brave_Eyes in her arms. "I don't want any more understandings!"
I'm assuming understandings are what they want... misunderstandings were the problem.
Awww, it's over. *pouts* I absolutely adore Black and Brave_Eyes - and I love how much you were able to hint about their relationship without coming right out and saying it.

Okay, I have absolutely zero time to do any reviews this week, but I just wanted to make a quick comment. I was going over the news page, saw the NT pic and INSTANTLY thought, "hey, that looks a LOT like that story whatshername wrote on the NTWF. But she said she would never publish it." Then, out of curiousity, I looked at it. WOW! That's IT!!! So, long story short, congrats on the GREATEST CUSTOM PIC EVER rainbow_daydreamer!!!!! I WILL read your story, but not for the next few days at least.

The Day 250 Struck: Part Three by puppy200010 Also by plutoplus1 If my word processor was working, I'd paste that poem in there and make sure it added up to 250 words... but it's not and I'm not going to count them. And she finally gets her holiday at last. *grin* With good weather even. The ending there rocks. ;D Do I sense something for issue 300?

If my word processor was working, I'd paste that poem in there and make sure it added up to 250 words... but it's not and I'm not going to count them. I did it, and if you exclude the spaces and the apostrophe, it's exactly 250 characters long. I still can't figure out how they did it.

I was AWOL from the Reviews thread last week because the Issue 250 hangover resulted in nothing available to review in my favorite categories, but this week's issue looks full of interesting work. I've already read a few pieces I enjoyed here. ^^ [glow=blue,2,300] Starshine: An Eyrie's Beginnings[/glow] May I say first that your custom pic pwns? Congratulations on getting a lovely image (Sparkly... and I love the fish! x3) and having it put on the front page! ^^ Now, on to the piece itself. I thought this was a lovely story, one that I really enjoyed. ^^ (I love stories about adopted pets' pasts. I can't help it! ^-^) The opening to the story is sweet. Poor little Eyrie. I can sense Jemmer's helpless compassion for her at the same time as he's defending himself for creating an Eyrie instead of a Jetsam. I get a feeling of the baby's surroundings and her trying to absorb the new things she is seeing. ^^ Avi is quite a prodigy, eh? "Born for the job", as the supervisor said. I don't know how old she is in the second paragraph, though my initial impression was that she was only a couple of weeks old, considering the time frame Jemmer was given; I was a bit surprised that she was able to steer the aquatic vehicle so well at that age, but I suppose Neopets learn fast--or perhaps this is taking place after the first "few weeks". I feel sorry for Avi, made to learn to operate the machine as just a baby. She can't be driving age yet. Aww... Avi Girl is kind. Her retelling of the Space Station overthrow was sweet. You can just picture the young pets watching in amazement. I like her description of the Space Faerie; "the fur on her head", hee! ^^ I liked the mention of the time clock, and the way you portrayed Avi's overhearing of the conversation between the officials made me feel genuinely sorry for her. Poor Avi Girl. It struck me as a little odd at first that Milleya wouldn't notice that Avi had just recovered consciousness, but I'm sure the anxiety of the moment had her thinking about little more than relaying the news to the base's mother figure. I can feel Avi's uncertainity and concern as she talks with the Royal Kougra who is so boldly claiming the ship. Her line, "Doctor Sloth can try coming back if he wants to!" makes clear her sense of triumph. ^^ Poor Avi. I felt sorry for her at the end of the story. You're very creative to come up with this from your Eyrie's name. In all, I found this to be a lovely, bittersweet tale. ^^ Lovely work.

I admit, there are a bunch of names at the start, but few of them are the main characters. Specifically, Euras is the only main character.
