Well, I submitted a story last night... at 3 am after a conversation with Patjade about undead penguins, irritating Rider, and slipping on undead penguin dung. Then I went to bed, woke up, and found that Pat had left some long lines of corrections I had missed in the proofread, and beat my head on the desk for a bit. Ah well, I'll just apply my usual strategy of after-the-fact proofreading; "won't make that mistake ever again in the future."
Course, it's probably going to get rejected. As I told Pat last night, "if it gets into the NT, it's only because the sheer why the fail factor causes droplet to spit out her soda and accidently hit the accept key at the same time"
