Since I got this nifty new computer, I was using the default skin for a while, and I noticed it was a bit depressing. I mean, it's all dark and stuff.
So it got me thinking that maybe we should update the NTWF color scheme wise a bit; go though some of the older skins and do a cull for what really looks the best, and maybe come up with a new basic skin.
I was kind of thinking something cheerful, like orange and green.

Orange and green sounds really pretty. ^_^ A splash of bright yellow somewhere in there would be good, too.

I'm all for the green!
Orange and Lime green would be perfect! It would give the forum a fresh new citrussy feeling. Bright, warm and inviting.
The current default skin is so dark and a little depressing. Kinda like if you had walked into a cave. =(

I say we should make it in various shades of brown, with lots of bloom. A next-gen look, if you will. =3
...what do you mean, Proboards doesn't have an option for eye-bleeding amounts of bloom? D=

Does anyone know the hex code for highlighter yellow? It makes a great combination with leaf green, and would be just the thing to pimp the forum with in upcoming spring ^^ Add some oranges here and there... maybe some sky blue. My artistic senses are tingling :3
Hm, couldn't we take down all the other skins once we upload this one? Otherwise they'll just continue using their current skins and won't even see the spiffy new default.

Ooh, that sounds awesome!  Maybe with the yellow splashes we can also add in some bright pink, to go with the whole spring theme? I agree, the default now is too dark. We need something prettier. ^_^ |

Spring sounds good to me too, now that you all mention it.
So maybe orange background, with pink and green highlights? Maybe some blue too?
We'd need a good font color too. *debates*

Considering the fact that I use the Ninja HQ scheme, I kind of like the whole cave thing. ;__; But if you guys want to update the default, power to you! It'll make it so that I can finally tell when I'm on Kit's account and when I'm on mine!

Oh, oh! I've got an even better idea. Kinda. You see, we should have an ever-changing default skin. Like a pink and red one for Febuary, an Easter skin, a Christmas skin... 12 skins in fact, a new, appropriate one, for every month! It'd take some planning, so we'd probably want to hold off in implementing it until spring break ish... January-  Febuary - Red, pink, and white? March -- April -- May -- Our orange and green skin? June -- July -- August -- September -- October -- Orange and black? November -- Gold and brown? December -- Red and green  Ideas for the other months? |

That's an even better idea, Nim. ^_^ I think most of the remaining months should decked out in bright hues. Maybe ice blue and white for January? And all the summer months should definitely have bright colours, like yellow and aqua and all those fun shades that remind you of the pool and sunshine. What do you guys think? |

I like the idea of the skin changing each month, that way you'll like, never get bored of the skin! =D
January- completely snow white with "icy" blue text
Febuary - Red, pink, and white?
March --
April -- baby blue and smoky gray
May -- Our orange and green skin
June -- lime green and highlighter yellow
July --
August --
September -- pink, orange and purple
October -- Orange and black
November -- Gold and brown
December -- Red and green

I mean, come on... those colours are like... SO not in style. That... or they're just so obvious that it burns.
